East Coast Results: Saratoga Race #3 Top Pick #3 (Bea Bet) $4.20. Note: There will be no horse racing picks Sept. 7 - Sept. 15. All premium subscriptions will be extended. ![]() Today's Horse Racing Picks: Top pick: #3 (GOOD PROSPECT) - Has a solid closing kick in a race with a lot of front-running types. The Linda Rice barn has had a fantastic meet and this veteran can win this with a clear trip. 2nd pick: #2 (Quick to Charm) - Seeks his fifth in a row today and does so first off a Dave Duggan claim. Loves the surface (3-2-1-0) and has a flexible style. Win this if he holds his form off the barn switch. 3rd pick: #5 (Johannesburg Smile) - Has some quality to him and he'll be trying the turf for the first time. State-bred can factor if he takes to the new footing. 4th pick: #1 (Yankee Fourtune) - Is lightly raced, draws the inside, and has speed/stalking ability. Faces a pretty tough crew today but has more room for upside. SARATOGA Race #3 at 2:05 PM Eastern Top pick: #1 (SONG OF BROADWAY) - Looms a short-priced but deserving favorite. Lightly-raced daughter of "Tiznow" drops, draws the rail, has the best speed, and races for the Rice barn. The horse to beat. 2nd pick: #7 (Lady Alma) - Improving since she got the addition of blinkers three starts back and filly has more speed than the remainder of this group. Can sit off the rail runner and complete the exacta. 3rd pick: #10 (Above the Call) - Lightly raced and showing some signs of improvement she's one of a pair entered by trainer Mike Hernandez and they'll race uncoupled. She has a sharp work on Aug. 30 and she could find herself in the exotics at the end of this. DELAWARE PARK Race #4 at 2:35 PM Eastern Top pick: #1 (MARSELLA DELIGHT) - She finished second here last out at this level and distance and did so from a tough outside post. Draws the rail today and a repeat of her latest "figure" will win this. 2nd pick: #3 (Candy Can) - Price play had a very wide trip last out and did well to finish fourth of 10, a race that had a runaway winner. Can be a factor today as she gets the addition of blinkers. 3rd pick: #6 (Smokey's Soldier) - Has fine early speed in a race with little other visible pace. Improving since a trainer switch to Mike Caraman and a factor today on the front-end. SARATOGA Race #5 at 3:05 PM Eastern Top pick: #5 (RIVER FOREST) - Lightly-raced daughter of "Forestry" had no chance last out when she had an impossible post (11th of 11) and was forced to race wide throughout. Has fine early speed and her trainer (Tom Proctor) has had a solid meet. The horse to beat. 2nd pick: #6 (Soutique) - Another who's lightly raced and well-bred she broke her maiden here sprinting August 6 and will stretch-out in distance in her first facing winners. Can contend for the win. 3rd pick: #2 (Aruna ) - French-import faced tougher in Europe earlier this year and lightly raced daughter of "Mr.Greeley" ends up in a fine turf barn (Graham Motion) for her North American debut and she'll run with lasix for the first time. Contends today. 4th pick: #3 (Crazy Catlady) - She rallied to finish third in a sprint here August 18 in her first race since last November. She'll stretch-out today for trainer Tim Hills and mare won here last year. SARATOGA Race #10 (THE GLENS FALLS H. (G3)) at 5:55 PM Eastern Top pick: #9 (FOREVER TOGETHER) - Champ towers over this group if she brings her best. Draws a tough post, but is making back-to-back starts for the first time in awhile. Has a sharp recent work and will be very tough in this stake. 2nd pick: #1 (Casablanca Smile ) - Has the rail and good positional speed. She finished second here last out to a filly who woul be the second pick in here. Chilean import looks set for her best as she puts starts together for the first time since coming to the states. 3rd pick: #3 (Keertana) - Tries hard every time and brings a solid turf record into this (14-5-4-4). She's run well in both local appearances and looks primed for a big effort. 4th pick: #2 (Kiawah Cat) - Lightly raced the past year she has some early speed and races second back off a two mnth break. Filly never tires so the 11-furlong trip is not a problem. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
