Tuesday's East Coast Results: ![]() Today's Horse Racing Picks: Top pick: #6 (SPARKLING SPIRIT) - Gelding by "Indian Charlie" has shown good early speed in both his starts and drops into a claimer today off a two month break. Working fast and he'll have the "hood" added for the first time. The top pick. 2nd pick: #5 (Bumpy Road ) - Colt ran "greenly" debuting here May 29th and trainer Gary Capuano has been working with him since. Lasix is added and his last three works are fast. Win contender. 3rd pick: #3 (Perfect Gentleman) - One of a pair of first-time-starters entered by trainer Randy Nunley and they'll race uncoupled. Colt has a fine gate work here July 26th and appears to have outworked his barn-mate by two lengths on August 24th. SARATOGA Race #3 at 2:05 PM Eastern Top pick: #2 (FLOURISH) - Daughter of "Distorted Humor" finished 2nd here going a bit shorter July 23rd in her first back off an 8 month layoff. Trainer Bill Mott has given her 5 weeks off to avoid a possible bounce and she's the horse to beat. 2nd pick: #3 (Mitigate) - Lightly raced daughter of "Vindication" finished 4th last out checking-in 1 1/2 lengths of the top pick. Her trainer (Graham Motion) has had a very quiet meet but this filly has a shot at the win. 3rd pick: #1 (Up In Lights) - Has a strong closing kick and she draws the ground saving hedge. She flew home last out here going a mile to just miss and gets an extra 1 1/2 furlongs to work with today. Win candidate. 4th pick: #6 (Sing My Song) - Longshot has good early speed and is in a solid barn (Steve Klesaris). Latest, on the Monmouth dirt was her best yet and she'll be trying the grass for the first time. DELAWARE PARK Race #5 at 3:05 PM Eastern Top pick: #13 (URBAN JUNGLE) - He's lightly raced, in a good barn (Leigh Delacour), and he runs in a claimer for the first time. Has good tactical speed and more talent than the others. Gelding by "Gone West" wins this if he has a "clean" trip. 2nd pick: #2 (Giant Move) - Gelding raced evenly at this level last out at Laurel but in his previous pair had just missed facing cheaper at Colonial Downs. Has more tactical sped than most and is a win factor. 3rd pick: #9 (Rainbow's Arch) - Races 3rd off a break and he'll have blinkers added for this. Has races in his past that are good enough to win this and looks set by a top barn (Jonathan Sheppard) for his best. 4th pick: #1 (Djeddah) - Has marginal ability and has been racing evenly of late. Rail draw is a plus and he may reach the same race exotics at a big price. SARATOGA Race #6 at 3:35 PM Eastern Top pick: #1 (TALK TO NICK) - Has the rail and the best early speed. Drops in half for his 2nd off a trainer switch to Rudy Rodriquez and he's the horse to catch and beat. 2nd pick: #2 (Devilish Due) - He ran a big race last out to finish 2nd for twice this price and trainer Bruce Brown ( who claimed him two back) drops him down for this. Big win threat. 3rd pick: #3 (Run to Grand Ave ) - Stalker won last out to clear the 2l condition and it was the best race of his 9 race career. Good finisher has a shot at the top prize if the speed doesn't hold. 4th pick: #6 (Dance Floor Maniac) - Races first off a Contessa claim and gelding won here last out racing for $10K. Has a good closing kick and should be flying late. The faster the pace, the better his chances. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
