Free Horse Racing Tips - October 31, 2008HAPPY HALLOWEEN! It's too bad Delaware Park isn't running today, as they always have a "Spooks and Goblins" race for horses of "Gray" color on this All Hallows Eve. As mentioned earlier this week, tomorrow we''ll have some observations and thoughts on last week's "Breeder"s Cup." Today, we'll have the same format at yesterday, three races from Aqueduct and one contest from Churchill Downs. Today's Best Bet is #7 Street Talk in Race #2 at Aqueduct. Thursday's Results: Churchill Downs Race #2 Top Pick #4 (Boston Cat) $5.60.  Today's Horse Racing Picks: Top pick: #7 (STREET TALK) - Nicely spotted today by trainer Bob Barbara. Well-bred filly had a nice comeback race on Oct. 11. Away 10 months, she stalked the pace in a turf contest and held well down the lane to finish third. Returns to the main track today for her second off the long rest. Wins this with her best. 2nd pick: #3 (Professional Woman) - Showed some speed in her debut before having some traffic issues around the far turn. Recovered nicely once clear and she finished a distant third. Barn (Chris Clement) is very good second time out (21%). 3rd pick: #5 (Warrior Miss) - Filly has been freshened-up for the past three months and will run today for a new trainer, George Weaver. Training steadily for her return, she has a nice drill at Saratoga on August 11. Should run well. AQUEDUCT Race #3 at 1:25 PM Eastern Top pick: #5 (HURRAH) - In very sharp form at present, he was claimed out of his last (an easy win) by Gary Contessa from Tony Dutrow. Nice spot is selected by the new connections and the distance is perfect. The horse to beat. 2nd pick: #3 (Golden Man) - Nice second-place finish sprinting on Oct. 17, his first effort in almost two months. Reclaimed that day by Enrique Arroyo, and this is his third go-round with that conditioner. He's two for five on this main track and six for 39 on other surfaces. 3rd pick: #1 (Wood Winner) - Veteran has done some of his best work at this mile distance (13-3-1-2). Poor turf run last out is best "tossed." This is a nice spot for him after racing evenly most of the year against better. AQUEDUCT Race #4 at 1:55 PM Eastern Top pick: #5 (MY LOVELY LARK) - Regressed in her latest after running a big race at Saratoga on August 31, her first race in 11 months. Tired in her latest after setting the pace from her inside post. Should rebound here in her third off the bench. 2nd pick: #3 (Tom and Dick's Girl) - Her three turf races are her best of eight lifetime runs. Draws a nice ground-saving post and trainer Jimmy Jerkens will add blinkers in an attempt to "shake her up" a bit. Think she'll run well at a good price. 3rd pick: #10 (Love For a Price) - May go favored in here. She's finished "on the board" in four of five of her turf races. Logical contender and a use in all exotics wagers. 4th pick: #11 (Intoxicatingbeauty) - She's finished in the money in her four turf starts, all sprints. Closing sprinter will be trying two-turns for the first time, never an easy task. Post doesn't help her chances. CHURCHILL DOWNS Race #6 at 3:00 PM Eastern Top pick: #6 (BULLSBAY) - Hard-hitting four-year-old brings a nice resume into this affair. His "past performance" line is riddled with top names, including "Cost of Freedom" and "Black Seventeen". Looks well spotted today at a distance that is made for him. 2nd pick: #5 (I M Boomer) - Colt has either won or placed in six of his eight starts. Very sharp win two back at Turfway was followed up with a fourth place finish in the "Indiana Derby." Nice runner is a win threat. 3rd pick: #7 (SmokeyJonesSutton) - Well-traveled runner has kept top company his whole career. Most recent effort saw him finish third at Louisiana Downs in the "Tiznow" stakes. Earlier this season he was beaten less than a length by "Mambo in Seattle". Tough runner.
