The undefeated "Zenyatta" heads a field of eight in the $2,000,000 "Ladies Classic" on day one, while reigning Horse of the Year "Curlin heads a field of 12 in the $5,000,000 "Classic" the following day. Zenyatta drew the rail while Curlin will break from post nine in their attempts to add to already impressive resumes. We'll have all five of the "Cup" races on Friday along with seven of the nine events on Saturday. Today we have a total of four races, all from beautiful Belmont Park. Today's Best Bet is #3 Winthrop House in Race #4 at Belmont Park. Tuesday's Results: Philadelphia Park Race #2 = Top Pick #5 (Fisher's Mill) PD. $8.60 Exacta = (5-3) PD. $30.80 Delaware Park Race #4 = Exacta (1-5) PD. $8.40 Exacta ( 1-5-7) PD. $14.60 ![]() Today's Horse Racing Picks: Top pick: #3 (WINTHROP HOUSE) - Working well for his first race since early August. Showed enough in his first pair to think that he could take this off the rest. Switches to the grass and he's worked fast on that surface. 2nd pick: #6 (Master) - Had trouble in his only turf start, but still raced well to finish 4th. Freshened up since that attempt, he's working well and gets the addition of blinkers. 3rd pick: #5 (Distant Strike) - Shortens-up after trying longer in his first pair. Good effort in his only turf race and he showed good speed that day. Should be dead-fit for this attempt. 4th pick: #10 (Mr. Market) - Speed shown in the slop in his debut and he'll switch to the grass today for the Pletcher barn. BELMONT PARK Race #5 at 3:00 PM Eastern Top pick: #1 (AMBER'S EDGE) - Good speed shown last out from a poor post (11). Raced wide that day but held well to finish a close-up 4th in her first at this 75K tag. Moves to the rail and is the choice for the win. 2nd pick: #1a (Southern Princess) - Coupled with the top pick, she showed fine debut speed and held well to finish 3rd, beating the top selection by a 1/2 length. Completes a strong entry. 3rd pick: #9 (Eleni's Hope) - Finished a close-up 5th last out in a race common to many entered here. Has some finishing punch and the pace here could come back late. 4th pick: #2 (Got That Money) - Shortens-up for this attempt after setting/pressing the pace before tiring late in her last pair. Her best race came in a grass sprint and that's what she'll do today. BELMONT PARK Race #7 at 4:00 PM Eastern Top pick: #1 (LEADWITHYOURCHIN) - Comes-back quickly for this start (10 days) and he'll be dropping off that useful return to action. Former stakes runner should be ready for his best off of that effort. 2nd pick: #6 (T Harry) - Gending is 4 for 14 overall, but he's 3 for 5 on this this surface. Tony Dutrow trained runner has never raced this low and he is a strong win candidate. 3rd pick: #3 (Solid Strike) - Speedy sort should have the lead to himself, and he has gotten brave on the front before. Needs careful rating, but he could lead them a very long way at square odds. 4th pick: #5 (Hawkinsville) - He makes his 2nd start off a Bruce Brown claim and first race of any kind in 7 weeks. More accomplished on the dirt, but his three grass races have been against much tougher. Tractable speed to employ. BELMONT PARK Race #9 at 5:00 PM Eastern Top pick: #1 (BEAUTY BY GEORGE) - Part of a Richard Dutrow trained entry and only one will run. She's been in steady training since July and draws the rail and Mr. Prado. Latest gate work at Monmouth is encouraging. 2nd pick: #10 (Irish Mama) - Tired badly last out after reaching the top early. Pace was moderate and the collapse is a bit of a concern, but filly is in the top Tony Dutrow barn. Win threat. 3rd pick: #7 (Angel Aly) - Drops from a maiden-special and will go from the grass to the dirt. Daughter of "Hook and Ladder" showed good speed in her debut and any move forward would make her a win contender. 4th pick: #4 (Larcenous Lady) - Improved run is noted last out as she rallied late to gain the place spot. Race was against a bit tougher at this distance, and filly has a sharp Saratoga work since that race. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
