Trainer scores with 29% of his new acquisitions. Filly should be nearing a peak effort in start number four back from a layoff. Ran second on June 27 at this track, distance, price and surface. (# 1) Hollywood Classic - Drops into a claimer for the first time in her career. Great work at Saratoga on Oct. 15, and filly may sneak away at a good price. (# 9) Malaysia - Last at this tag and distance produced a second-place finish. Showed high speed and stayed on well to nail down the place. Good post and the seven-furlong distance should play well for her. (# 7) Adorable You - Coa aboard again for trainer Mitch Friedman, and she certainly has perked up since moving to the infield. Stalker needs to find more late kick. BELMONT PARK Race #FIVE (3:00 PM Eastern) (# 5) SAILOR'S CAP - Fine speed shown in debut on the turf at six furlongs. Trainer (Toner) almost exclusively runs on the grass. This Team Valor colt by "Distant View" only needs to move forward a bit to contend for the win. One of only several in here with racing experience. (# 2) Radical Sabbitical - Defeated the top pick in last after stalking the heated pace and getting up late for the place. Post is a little tricky, but he displayed some good early kick in his debut, and that should allow him to avoid trouble. (# 11) Doctor Cal - Best race of three was on the Spa. turf. Chased a strong wire-to-wire winner that day, and several of the also-rans have come out of it to win. (#'s 7 and 1A) Shtarker and Storming Off - Would use this pair in small exacta boxes with the top pair. They are trained by Allen Jerkens and Todd Pletcher respectively. Both make their second starts and could improve dramatically. BELMONT PARK Race #EIGHT (4:30 PM Eastern) (# 1) CELINE - Draws the hedge and meets a less-than stellar group in second try at this condition and distance. No secret in her debut as she scored at 4-5 odds. Troubled trip at the Spa. in first try against winners. Still finished a fine fourth. Needs a clear trip and she should win this. (# 5) Jocassee - Probable pace-setter ran a fine second two back to "Cute Cognac" who won a stakes yesterday. Very dangerous on the front-end in a race without much speed. (# 3) One in a Romp - She's beginning to become a racehorse since switching to the Allen Jerkens barn this spring. Has developed into a consistent mid-pack stalker, and her only win was at this nine-furlong distance at Saratoga. (# 9) Crusader's Code - Another who has improved with more racing. Last trio have been her best and she'll be heard from late in here. BELMONT PARK Race #TEN (5:35 PM Eastern) (# 6) PRIME OBSESSION - All grass races are solid, but he may not have that killer instinct. Still, his races are too good to ignore, and he is a legitimate threat for all the marbles. Just remember to back up those bets. (# 8) Front Money - Interesting price play, gets blinkers on for trainer Greg Deprima. Poor effort in last, but in previous pair he displayed fine speed. (# 12) Jets Only - Will probably be sent hard from this outside post, as he can't afford to be hung wide into the far turn. (#'s 5 and 10) Brian's Cat Can Do and Offc.Macturf - This pair trained by Gary Contessa and Heriberto Cedano shoud be used in small exacta boxes with the top selection. ![]() Horse Racing Picks Resources:
