Today's Horse Racing Picks:

DELAWARE PARK Race #2 at 1:10 PM Eastern

Top pick: #5 (THE UNCLEAN SPIRIT) - California shipper brings the best overall form and in his last at Fairplex he just missed on real dirt. Has a drill on the local surface and Dominguez climbs aboard for trainer Doug O'Neill.
2nd pick: #1 (Walk With Kings) - Ontario-bred was highly thought of at one time early in his career, but re-surfaced at Penn National after a fall to mid-summer break. Improving, and he's coming off an easy maiden win. In shape and dangerous.
3rd pick: #1a (Parade For Peace) - Coupled in the wagering with the second selection, he has finished on the board in his last pair at this tag. Has some tactical speed but will have to hustle early from this post.
4th pick: #3 (Mr. Park Avenue) - Pulled up in late July at Philly Park when running for $15,000. Returned here running for $5K exactly two months later and ran evenly. Fits well if he moves forward off that run.

DELAWARE PARK Race #3 at 1:35 PM Eastern
Top pick: #5 (Rocket Candy) - Another shipper from California for the Doug O'Neill barn. Filly by "Dixie Union" showed good speed in her debut against tougher at Santa Anita. Nedds only to handle this dirt surface to succeed.
2nd pick: #4 (This Kitty's Mine) - Good speed shown in her first pair and she finished a distant second last out when dropped into a claimer. Daughter of "Yonaguska" will no doubt try for the top and is a win contender. Barn (Mike Gorham) has been hot lately.
3rd pick: #1 (Bella Essence) - Drops in half for this and filly will need to hang on much better than she has in her last three.

PHILADELPHIA PARK Race #5 at 2:00 PM Eastern
Top pick: #6 (CALL ME THE BREEZE) - Makes his first start for trainer Guadalupe Preciado after starting his career with Kiaran McLaughlin. Well-bet in all his races he has flashed good speed in all of his starts. Freshened-up since mid-May, he's working fast for his return to action.
2nd pick: #3 (Distorted Amusement) - Probable favorite finished second last out at Laurel in a MSW race at seven furlongs. Son of "Distorted Humor" is lightly raced and improving. Win threat.
3rd pick: #5 (New York Style) - Fields most experienced runner has some good speed of his own and has been "knocking" heads with some tough customers along the way. Contender.
4th pick: #2 (Roaring Off) - Rallied late to finish second last out on this course to a promising runner ("Iron Bull"). Pace here could be fast/contested, and that would aid him the most.

DELAWARE PARK Race #5 at 2:30 PM Eastern
Top pick: #3 (DEVIL MAKER) - Fast runner will be coming off a seven-week freshening for the Scott Lake barn. Working sharply for his return, he can take this group from start-to-finish.
2nd pick: #7 (Habitual) - Lightly raced, in a good barn (Mike Trombetta), has some tactical speed and drops for this third off the bench attempt. Price should be right.
3rd pick: #4 (Buzzin Mon) - Logical contender drop for this after a good third-place finish against tougher. Claimed two back by Howard Wolfendale, runner will race below the price paid to acquire him.
4th pick: #6 (Spring Manners) - Makes his first start for trainer Tim Hooper (a 21% winning angle). Runner is in shape but will shorten-up to a sprint off a series of longer races. Late threat.
