Final entries and Post Positions will be drawn next Tuesday. Wunderdog Racing will publish Racing Newsletters for both days and they'll be available on Thursday, Oct. 23. Today we have four races, three from Belmont and one from Santa Anita. Today's Best Bet is #3 Fort McCoy in Race #2 at Belmont Park. Thursday's Results: Belmont Park Race #1 Ex. (Box of top two 10-9) $14.20. ![]() Today's Horse Racing Picks: Top pick: #3 (FORT McCOY) - Thought he had a bit of a rough trip last out and just did not have enough late zip. Race was his first in two months and it's good to see him come back quickly for this. Ready to win. 2nd pick: #1 (Knife and Fork) - His two races for a tag have been his best, finishing second in both. Has some speed/stalking ability and draws the rail. The main threat. 3rd pick: #2 (Above All Odds) - Drops, shortens up, and switches surfaces for Allen Jerkens. That all adds up to a horse well-meant to offer his best. 4th pick: #6 (After Colin) - Not a win contender, but he could hit the exotics at big odds with one of his better efforts. BELMONT PARK Race #4 at 2:30 PM Eastern Top pick: #6 (SIR CRYPTOMITE) - Drops from a return pair of races against MSW competition. Veteran should be at his best in his third off the bench and a shorter distance will help him out. Contender at a square price. 2nd pick: #10 (Golden Guska) - Goes second off an 11-week layoff for trainer Dom Galluscio. Drops to the claimed level of two back and he'll try the turf for the first time. Galluscio's main rider, Eibar Coa takes the mount. 3rd pick: #4 (Pure Tantrum) - Last was his best yet as he chased the pace and held well at this tag and distance to finish a close-up third. Distance, pricetag, and rider all stay the same. 4th pick: #5 (Malibu Gardens) - Goes dirt to turf and will go "tagged" for the first time. He'll need to step it up to contend, but the drop is a significant one. BELMONT PARK Race #5 at 3:00 PM Eastern Top pick: #5 (GOLDEN MAN) - Freshened-up by trainer Bruce Levine for almost two months, veteran has slipped quite a bit but still should be competitive at this level. Trainer is great off the rest (24%). I think he'll run a big race. 2nd pick: #4 (Missle Motor) - He's been given a month off by trainer Ed Barker after having two starts in six days. Runs just below the tag of his claim two back, and if ready to run, is a win contender. 3rd pick: #2 (Kamboo Man) - Lightly-raced four-year-old has run well in his three starts for trainer Bob Barbara after coming from Canada. Has some speed/stalking ability and this will be the lowest tag he has ever raced at. 4th pick: #1 (Red Hot Dawn) - Wide in the slop last out from an outside post (10), he draws the rail, goes third off a layoff, and has a "bullet" three-furlong work heading into this. SANTA ANITA Race #1 at 4:00 PM Eastern Top pick: #6 (AQUICKSTING) - Overmatched last out in the "Cal Cup Juvenile", maiden drops back in with his own kind. Has an amazing number of starts for a two-year-old but can win this from on or just off the top. 2nd pick: #4 (Tiffanyspringsroad) - Rallied late after a poor start to finish third last out as the favorite. Race was his first over a distance and was encouraging. 3rd pick: #3 (Walker Road) - Blinkers will go on, he'll drop into a claimer, and also goes turf to dirt. Runner has broken poorly in his first pair, but his last two works are solid. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
