Last time she was in a starter allowance, she won here on July 30. Nicely spotted to pick up a win today. (# 2) Devilish Action - Very fast filly is the speed closest to the rail. Won her last two starts off layoffs and that is the situation today. May get the jump on them early and that may lead to an upset. (# 5) Samantha Mulder - Lake filly got her second lifetime win in latest when she was dropped to the $5000 level. Has some speed and has proven that she can rate and pounce. DELAWARE PARK Race #SIX (3:00 PM Eastern) (# 6) POPULIST - Improvement shown in start one to two for the Mike Trombetta barn. Trainer is deadly on the stretch out (41%), and filly should be prominent from the start in this distance race. Jockey Travis Dunkelberger makes the trip from Laurel. (# 1) Eight Belles - Showed some speed in sprint debut. Stretches out, gets lasix and draws the rail for trainer Larry Jones. (# 3) Rose Colored - Not much in sprint debut, but daughter of "Point Given" should do better with the longer nature of today's race. Jockey Santagata sees fit to make the trip here. (# 4) Rough Water - Has already tried this distance unsucessfully, but the experience should help her in start number two going long. TURF PARADISE Race #FOUR (3:55 PM Eastern) (# 4) HEAVEN'S GOLD - Easiest kind of win at Arapaho Park in only start. Word was out as filly went off at 3-5. Sold privately since that race, she goes first time against winners for top trainer Bart Hone. (# 5) Kooky Kelly - Makes her Turf Paradise debut after running on the California Fair circuit, and at Bay Meadows. Has a close-up style, but needs to keep within range to have a chance. (# 2) Pure and Simple - Trainer Molly Pearson comes back to Turf Paradise after spending the summer at Delaware Park. This filly by "Trippi" has been freshened up a bit for two months. Nice get acquainted drill over the surface here on Oct. 8. May go well fresh. TURF PARADISE Race #SEVEN (5:25 PM Eastern) (# 9) SLEWIE CREOLE - Comes from Bay Meadows where she was well bet in last pair. Was in a position to win, but finished evenly in both. Nice drill here on Oct. 8 for this. Draws a nice post for the distance. (# 7) Casanova John - Very close to the top pick in my figures, so maybe both should be "keyed" on top in tris and supers. (# 3) City Venture - This is start No. 32 today without that initial win. Weak field should see him in it at the finish. (#'s 4 and 8) Patrick's Point and Share Your Bottl - Would use this pair in the underneath positions of all exotics. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
