Latest off a seven-week layoff was very good at this track. Winner that day has come back to run well in an allowance. Nice up-close style for $240,000 daughter of "Stormy Atlantic," and she should move forward in second off the slight freshening. (# 6) Fancy Fusaichi - Goes back to the dirt for trainer Bill Mott after three consecutive dirt races. Ran second on the main track in her debut, so the surface switch is fine. Runs about 2-4 lengths off the lead. (# 4) Fashion Queen - Well bet in only start which came at Saratoga where she had a problem soon after the start. Winner that day came right back to take another. Blinkers go on for trainer Mike Hushion and improvement is expected. (# 2) Lucky Alizea - $450,000 daughter of "Forestry" hasn't moved forward much since coming back to the races after a two-month rest. Top pick defeated her easily at the Spa. BELMONT PARK Race #FIVE (3:00 PM Eastern) (# 3) SEW SLIPPERY - Filly has been well bet since day one and has also attracted top riders - a sure sign that some talent is present. Last on the turf at the Spa, she showed some ability. Has a bullet on the dirt here on Sept. 9, so the surface should be fine with her. (# 4) C.T.Phone Home - Rice barn remains on a roll, and this filly showed a good third-place finish in her debut. Comes back quickly for start number two. (# 6) All the Rightnotes - Bred for the turf, and ran well on that surface last out. Returns to the dirt today, and her only race on that surface was poor, but it was a sloppy track. Roman's sees fit to give her another chance. (# 's 7 and 8) Queen of Protocol and Peleliu - Would use this pair in small exacta boxes with the top pick. SANTA ANITA Race #THREE (4:30 PM Eastern) (# 6) FALLEN LEAF - Last was a good effort over the Fairplex main track. Had a wide draw, raced up-close to a legitimate pace and finished well to wind up third. Has a pair of works at Solano for this. Tricky race should insure good odds on all. (# 2) Private Wind - Appears to be a better runner on turf than dirt/polytrack. That should be offset a bit by a drop in class. This is start No. 14. Continues to work well and is a dangerous opponent. ( # 8) Taffy Boy - Stretches out off a good fourth-place finish at seven furlongs over this surface. Huge odds all three trips to the post, but his last is too good to ignore. (# 3) Scotty Jones - Has tried a variety of tracks, distances and surfaces. Goes long on the poly surface today, and he ran deceptively well over Hollywood's polytrack earlier in the year. Huge odds are assured. SANTA ANITA Race #TEN (8:15 PM Eastern) (# 6) LOWER THE RATE - well bet in initial pair at Hollywood and Del Mar against much better. Showed good speed in both for trainer Brian Koriner. Drops in half for this off a two-month freshening. Working well and regularly over this surface. (# 8) Mangyan Model - Some competitive efforts at Del Mar and Fairplex for trainer Doug O'Neill. Fits well against this mostly untested group. (# 10) No Cream or Sugar - Very good race over this surface and at this level in last with Lasix added. Fine work since and should be prominent from the start. (# 5) Brigitta - From a good first-out barn(Kitchingham). Has some better than average works, and Pedroza is attracted, the trainer's main rider. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
