Horse Racing Betting Pick - November 28, 2007Today we'll have selections and analysis on five races from Aqueduct, Hollywood, and Turfway Park. The race from Turfway is a night contest. Today's Best Bet is #6 Hello Newman in Race #2 at Aqueduct. Tuesday's Results: Several scratches including the top pick in race #4 at Turf Paradise hurt our plays.
Philadelphia Race #6 Top Pick Winner #7 (Local Celebrity) Paid $7.40. Today's Horse Racing Picks: (# 6) HELLO NEWMAN - Logical selection and probable favorite drops down off a June layoff. He was claimed for $50,000 and makes his return for $16K. Blinkers go on for trainer (Parisella) that heats up during the winter months. (# 3) Lookdownthebarrel - Professional-looking maiden has picked up some pieces wherever he has run. Can pass horses, a commodity lacking in here. Lack of pace may force his hand early. (# 7) Autauga - Stretches out off of a pair of sprints for Gary Contessa. Dominguez takes the reins and trainer-jockey combo is a strong one (22%). (# 4) Red Demon - Finished fourth in his best showing to date when dropped to this price tag in latest. Should be closing late and pick off a few. If pace is heated, he may do better than that. AQUEDUCT Race #FOUR (1:50 PM Eastern) (# 6) ICY HEART - Latest, his first since March, was very good. Chased the pace while inside and stayed on well to finish third. Repeat, or preferably some improvement, would make him tough. (# 4) Tricky Tuck - Showed speed in New York debut after coming here from Calder. Goes second time here and will be the early leader. Inner surface is kind to his type. (# 1) Love That Wicked - Last was his best effort to date. Rail on the inner track is almost always good. Not enough speed to clear, but can sit on the inside and make a run late. (# 7) Straight Blush - Has had many chances, but against this field he might sneak into the tri or maybe the exacta at a good price. AQUEDUCT Race #NINE (4:10 PM Eastern) (# 4) STOPBLUFFING - Last was his best in some time. Gelding ran a fine second in a mile race on the main track against $35K foes. Pace may be legitimate here, and he will have a chance when in gear around the turn. One of his two lifetime wins is over this surface. (# 1a) Belz - Stretches out for trainer Tom bush and that conditioner is very sharp at that move. Gelding does so off a pair of good sprint tries. Expect him to be either on or just off the lead. (# 6) Chernobyl's Hero - Has run seven times in this condition since breaking his maiden. Mid-pack type may get some pace to help his style. (# 5) Love Lyndsey - Has raced in claimers recently and done well. The jump to this allowance level is not as pronounced as it may seem. In some cases the open claiming foes are tougher. Horse is in good shape at present. (# 3) New York Moon - Looking for a much improved effort from gelding who is one-for-one over this surface. Is racing himself back into shape and draws the rail and Dominguez. Training well as of late. HOLLYWOOD PARK Race #FOUR (5:00 PM Eastern) (# 5) HOMEMADE BREW - Logical selection was claimed by one big-name trainer (Doug O'Neill) from another (Wesley Ward). Big speed shown that day, and new connections bring her back at the same price. Sharp drill in the interim. (# 11) Love Happens - Takes a big drop today for the Mike Mitchell barn. Has been in a position to win but hasn't gotten it done. Drop should have her just off the pace. Big shot at the win. (# 2) Warren's Gold - Speed shown in second start against better when she was well backed. Moves inside today, and she will be involved from the start. (# 12) Mt. Whitney - Blinkers come off for filly who ran well in her first pair without the "hood." Can pass horses if she's not spun too wide. (# 8) Terrajazz - Goes second off a layoff. Is an uncoupled barnmate of the top pick. Not a win candidate, but may get into the super and or tri at a good price. TURFWAY PARK Race #NINE (9:05 PM Eastern) (# 4) GIANT DREAMS - Good race for .10 superfectas. Key the first pair on top with the other horses. Would cost you under $10. As an example the bet would be No. 4 and No. 8 with 4-8-6-3-5 with 4-8-6-3-5 with 4-8-6-3-5. Lets see how we make out. This runner drops after trying tougher in first pair. (# 8) North of Town - Expect this runner to show speed on a distance increase combined with a drop in class. (# 6) Beau Bock - Blinkers and Lasix are added for start number two for runner who showed some speed in his first race. (# 3) Moose Gone Wild - Nice race here in the early fall against maiden specials. Wide trip in last at Churchill, I think he can out run his suspected good odds. (# 5) Double Lightning - Big price expected for runner who could hit the super and create a big payoff. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
