Today we have selections and analysis on five races from Aqueduct and the Fair Grounds. A reminder that in keeping with the Holiday, Aqueduct has moved up it's Post Time to 11:25 AM Eastern. Have a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving!! Best Bet is # 8 Tiz It in Race # 6 at Aqueduct. ![]() Today's Horse Racing Picks: (# 6) RULE SEVENTY SIX - Wide trip in last cost him all chance. Previous run was an excellent placing with fine speed shown. Drops into a claimer for the first time, and may go wire-to-wire. (Entry 1 and 1a) Friendly Freud & Diamond Tough - Contessa duo both have some positives to report. "Friendly" is a proven runner who fits well with this group. "Diamond" started his career in the Wesley Ward barn and was well bet in initial pair. Working well for first start in five weeks. (# 4) Supah Wise - Took some money in his debut but only showed brief speed. Blinkers are added for start number two and he has a sharp work on November 7th. (# 11) Daddy Eddie - Has improved a bit in each of three starts for trainer Scott Schwartz. Goes from the inside to the outside today, and trainer adds blinkers to his equipment. Has a good work on Nov. 17th. FAIR GROUNDS Race #TWO (1:35 PM Eastern) (# 12) RIGHTEOUS BROTHER - Good initial race when he showed speed before finishing third. Tried a stakes in second start and was almost slammed into the rail around the far turn. Steve Asmussen runner has had five months to grow and mature. Should due better today. (# 9) War Veteran - Ran off at Louisiana Downs on Super Derby day., but still was allowed to start. Ran well showing speed before tiring to run third. Working well for start number two, he is a dangerous runner. (# 5) Teixiera - Excellent first out barn(W.Bret Calhoun) is 19% with first-timers. Excellent works on view and trainer goes to one of his main-men, Eddie Martin. They are 26% when teamed together. Would key the top three in supers and use the other two selections underneath. (# 11) Tensas Why Gin - Makes initial start after training well at Turfway Park. Appeared ready to run there, but as a Louisiana bred he awaited this more lucrative spot. (# 10) Halo Leestown - Just missed in well-bet debut at Delta Downs. Race was in late October, and he has worked at Evangeline and here since that race. AQUEDUCT Race #SIX (1:45 PM Eastern) (# 8) TIZ IT - Stands out on paper off his debut race at Monmouth. Showed good speed from the rail, battled the whole race, exchanged bumps in mid-stretch before getting out-finished. Has a trio of sharp drills since, and he should graduate with a clean journey. (# 7) D' Wildcard - Just missed in last after battling for the lead the whole race and getting out-bobbed on the wire. Has a pair of maintenance drills since, and he should run well again. (# 5) Goldsville - Zayat/Mott runner ran third in a small field(5) in debut. Pace was fast, and the track was sloppy. Nice drill on Nov. 17th for this. (# 1) Accredit - Very poor effort in debut. That's unusual for this barn(McLaughlin)as they rarely run this badly first out. Has been given two months to regroup, and the works indicate he'll run better. FAIR GROUNDS Race #THREE (2:05 PM Eastern) (# 1) ARC LIGHT - Quick runner has shown speed in all races in his career. Broke his maiden two back at Hawthorne for 25K in first start in three months. First try against winners was good, and trainer Ronnie Werner drops him down to 10K for this. Very tough from the rail. (# 6) Mercantile - Tom Amoss trained gelding comes here in sharp condition. Broke his maiden on Tapeta surface at Presque Isle, then ran well on conventional dirt at Mountaineer Park. Sharp work on Nov. 11th for this. (# 8) Doublearmdance - Autrey trained runner has been freshened up since mid-July. Claimed on June 1st from Eddie Kenneally, he is working sharply for the return. FAIR GROUNDS Race #SEVEN (4:00 PM Eastern) (# 3) COPING - Another from the Cody Autry barn. Claimed last out at Keeneland, he has a good record over this surface(6-2-1-2) Trainer is a snappy 25% with his new acquisitions. (# 2) Virginia Pride - Veteran continues to run well at age nine. Has some tactical speed and shouldn't be too far back around the far turn. Has a good chance at the win. (# 4) No Surgeon - Late runner from Steve Asmussen is at the mercy of the pace in here. Would like it fast/contested. (# 10) Stormin Eddie - Has performed best on the grass during his career. Has a win on dirt at Tampa, and his speed makes him dangerous. Needs to break running from this post. (# 1) Skin Flint - The speed nearest the rail, he can fire a big race when in the mood. Last several are very poor, so he needs to rebound. ![]() Horse Racing Picks Resources:
