Triple Crown Horse Racing - November 18, 2007Today we have selections and analysis on five races from Aqueduct and Hollywood Park. Today's Best Bet is #9 Stage Sensation in Race #10 at Hollywood Park. ![]() Today's Horse Racing Picks: (# 6) Fashion Queen - Big improvement in last, her initial start with blinkers. Fine speed shown and was run down late by a talented looking individual. Ran well despite a poor beginning. (# 5) Who Fu - Just missed in last at Monmouth. Mott filly appears to be sitting on a big race. Has had excuses in several tries. (# 8) Parchesi - Tries conventional dirt for the first time after a pair of good races on the Keeneland polytrack. Nice work at Belmont for this. (# 4) So Glitzy - Goes second off a long layoff for the Allen Jerkens barn. Pretty fair effort in the return, and filly should move forward today. AQUEDUCT Race #FOUR (1:50 PM Eastern) (# 2) CAROLYN'S CAT - Excellent second race, showing speed while wide, staying on well and tiring a bit late. No chance in debut when she ran into "Indian Blessing." Speed nearest the rail in this abbreviated sprint (5.5 furlongs). (# 1) Possessive - Good debut over this surface on Oct. 24. Moves to the rail and Prado takes over today. Dangerous if she repeats last. (# 5) Laddy's Lion - Has been competitive in both races to date. Speed shown in both and filly stayed on well. Good work on Belmont training track for this. (# 3) Malka - Drew a tough field in Saratoga debut. On the shelf since for trainer Allen Jerkens, she's training forwardly for the return. HOLLYWOOD PARK Race #TWO (4:00 PM Eastern) (# 8) SPORTSBOOKJUNKEE - Nice showing in last at Santa Anita, a second-place finish going two turns. Drops a notch for this and has a sharp work. Barn (Mullins) is off to a fast start here. Key this one first and second in tris and or supers. (# 5) The Royals Court - Nice effort in career debut at seven furlongs. Was up near a fast pace, bid on the turn and finished well to run third. Stretches out today and should be involved right from the start. (# 1) Cee's the Answer - Last was best yet, an on-the-pace second-place finish in a small field. Improving sort gets the shortest route home and has good positional speed. (# 13) Ruud Boy - Beaten on the wire by a nostril last out for this tag at Santa Anita. Post is no bargain and he'll have to be used somewhat to avoid being hung wide. One of two for trainer Vlad Cerin and they race uncoupled. (# 2) Mosel - The second of the Cerin runners. Has improved since the addition of blinkers in start number two. HOLLYWOOD PARK Race #FIVE (5:30 PM Eastern) (# 3) HAGGIS MACPHERSON - Longshot play comes back to the races for trainer Brian Koriner off a six-week freshening. Trainer does well with this type returnee, and this $225,000 son of "Salt Lake" is working very fast over this surface. (# 10 ) Gayego - Debut runner comes into this with some very fast works to his credit. Trainer is an o.k. 14% with first timers. May break running from the outside slot. (# 4) Victory Pete - Fine debut race at Santa Anita. Lasix is added today and colt has a very sharp work on this surface on Nov. 15. (# 9) Hoods Up - Comes to So. Cal. after running third at Bay Meadows in a race where he encountered some traffic trouble. Baffert runner should improve in start number two. HOLLYWOOD PARK Race #TEN (8:05 PM Eastern) (# 9) STAGE SENSATION - Returns from six weeks off after a pair of well-bet outings where she showed some good speed. Drops into a claimer for the first time, and trainer Eric Guillot has fine numbers in all the relevant catagories. (# 2) Swishing Tiger - Good works and a lot of them! Has 12 published works dating back to late August. Trainer Craig Dollase is 18% with firsters. Attracts Gomez for the debut run. (# 7) Fast N Flirty - Last is pretty poor, but it came against colts. Filly goes back against her own sex today and should run much better. (# 8) Byballot - Wide on the Fairplex bullring in debut. Trainer Gary Stute is much better with his maidens as they get more experience. Training well for start number two. ![]() Horse Racing Picks Resources:
