Has tactical speed, a great post and is in the best current shape of these. Should get a perfect stalking trip and go by turning for home. (# 1) La Celeste - Goes third off a layoff. Tried an allowance sprint, then was sent a distance. Excellent work since the last race and will be sent hard from the rail. May make the top against these. (# 3) Sister Sissy - Goes back to her graduation distance of seven furlongs for the first time. Claimed two back by Bob Hale, filly appears to be heading back up the performance ladder. (# 5) Awesome Alexandra - Claimed out of last by Tom Schell. Impressive win in last at this distance, she moves up to another condition today. Lightly raced and improving. CALDER Race #SIX (2:40 PM Eastern) (# 10) R TOWN LEADER - Poor post draw, but runner has enough speed to either get the lead or get some good position heading into the first turn. Goes first off a 2 1/2 month layoff for the Kirk Ziadie barn, and they are 39% successful with this length of returnee. (# 9) Flynomore - Logical selection and possible favorite. Has finished second three straight times at this condition and level. Tough, but no bargain if he's low odds. (# 6) Aaron's Special - Drops to his lowest price tag ever and comes back from a four-month layoff. Has shown speed at times, and I think he will today. (# 1) Agriento - Inside position should make a world of difference over his last two posts (10 and 8). Include him in the tri and super bottoms. (# 5) Shotgun Sambo - Has shown enough ability at times to think that he may get into the exotics at a good price. CALDER Race #EIGHT (3:40 PM Eastern) (# 7) ROMEO'S BELLA - Stretches out for Laura Posada off what is her best race to date. Trainer also adds Lasix and blinkers today, and that total makeover should enable her to give it her best shot in this weak field. (# 4) Gold in the Sand - Last pair were solid efforts at this distance and price tag. Needs patient handling as another apprentice gives it a go. (# 3) Dance It Is - Stretches out for Bob Hale in a third off the layoff situation. Last was her best yet, so she has a shot from on or just off the lead. (# 9) Concerto's Miss - Barnmate of the top pick though they will race uncoupled. Has improved since returning from an eight month vacation, and also the switch to the Posada barn. Post is of no help, but if she continues to move forward, she has a chance. CALDER Race #TEN (4:30 PM Eastern) (# 7) WHEELOFFORTUNE - Wide journey in last cost him all chance at winning. Previous run was an excellent second-place finish. Sharp work on Nov. 2, and he resides in the gate outside of the other speed giving the rider some options. Good shot at the top prize. (# 6) Lucky Greeley - Improved his performance when dropped into a claimer for the first time. Has a nice work since the last race and moves down slightly for this. (# 1) What a Pal - Goes second off a layoff, and was beaten by several in here that day. May have needed the race badly as he hadn't run since last December. Should move forward and is a legitimate threat. (# 3) Count Me Out - Good speed in return race with blinkers added to his equipment. Think he may regress a bit, and there is speed inside and outside of him in here. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
