Horse Racing Methods Systems - November 07, 2007Hollywood Park opens today, and we will include a race from there on Saturdays and Sundays and mix one in when we like something during the week. Today we have three from Aqueduct and one from Hollywood. Race No. 2 from Philly Park was our winner yesterday as we hit with one possible combination of our picks. We took the exacta with our top pick and our third selection (2-3) good for $51. Today's Best Bet is #3 Touch My Abs in Race #8 at Hollywood Park. Tuesday's Results: Philadelphia Park Race #2 Top Pick Winner #2 (Snowy Elegance) Paid $5.80. Exacta Top with 3rd (2-3) Paid $51. Turf Paradise Race #5 Original Top Pick #8 (Raise the Fee) Scratched Top Pick Winner #5 (I'll Try) Paid $3.40.
Exacta Top pick with 3rd pick (5-7) Paid $18.40. Today's Horse Racing Picks: (# 2) API MOHKAT - Has been given some time off by trainer Bill Badgett after he received the colt from Florida in August. Started once at Saratoga against straight maidens and showed fine early speed. Has very nice five-furlong breezes at Belmont eight days apart in late October. Prado in enticed. (# 4) Theycallmetater - Very good initial run at Delaware on Sept. 11 just failing to get up. Been on the sidelines since. Trainer Tony Dutrow wins with 35% of his second-time starters. (# 7) Fufty - Claimed in late August by Bob Bailes. Trainer has regrouped with him since then. Has a very sharp recent work at his homebase of Bowie. Bailes wins with 20% of his new acquisitions first out. (# 6) Bomber D Back - Closed to get second in the mud at Belmont in first time blinkers last out. Well-backed in both appearances to date. May need to try and get involved a bit earlier. AQUEDUCT Race #FOUR (1:50 PM Eastern) (# 10) SAINT BARR - Freshened up a bit by trainer Juan Rodriquez (Dutrow assistant). Showed some speed in last sprinting at Belmont. Has been working steadily for this, and several of the moves are very good. Prado takes the reins, and runner draws a good post at the flat mile. (# 1a) Deb's Roof - Steps out of the state-bred ranks for this try against open maiden claimers. Horse is four, so is not likely to improve much more. Good speed shown in several. Draws a good slot to use his speed and keeps Chavez. (# 8) Falcon Trace - Comes out of a pretty fair maiden special three weeks ago. Wide run in debut for trainer Bob Frankel. Runner drop today to a much more favorable looking spot. (# 9) Fiddler's Warrior - Very possible that this career maiden is ready to show his best. Has had a pair of return races to get him in shape, and has been in the money in six-of-eight at this distance. AQUEDUCT Race #NINE (4:10 PM Eastern) (# 2) OFCR. SHEILA T REX - Speed closest to the hedge. Makes her third lifetime start, and ran well in a muddy off-the-turf event last out. That should have made her a lot fitter. Winner of debut has since become a stakes runner. (# 9) Desafinado - Beaten by the top pick in the off-the-grass event last out. Was well meant that day (Pletcher was adding blinkers), but the race was rained off the infield. Two-turn nature of this event is made for this runner. (# 12) Justinline - Needs a scratch to compete. Has some speed, and can stalk from very close range. Dangerous if she runs. (# 5) Queen of Protocol - Interesting play, has competitive races on the grass that fit with these. Is racing into shape, and Donk runners always improve with experience. (# 3) Ain't We Got Fun - Lone grass was her best. Daughter of Minardi returns to the turf today, and also tries a distance for the first time. HOLLYWOOD PARK Race #EIGHT (7:05 PM Eastern) (# 3) TOUCH MY ABS - Drops into a claimer and tries Polytrack for the first time. Lone run was at Fairplex over conventional dirt. Has four works since the debut run, all much better than average, and all on this surface. Trainer Craig Dollase adds Lasix, a move that he has won with three of his last four with. He has also excelled on artificial surfaces. (# 14) Zoomin Zabel - One of a pair from Mike Harrington and they will race uncoupled. Has proven competitive in most starts, and has enough speed to not let the outside post hurt him. (# 13) Merge the Distance - Baffert runner takes the plunge after a debut against straight maidens. Took no money in the initial run, and ran accordingly. Several sharp drills in tow, and a big turnaround would be no surprise. (# 1) Swiss E - The second of the Harrington pair has some speed and has nibbled several times. Draw is not advantageous on poly-surfaces. (# 10) Latin Officer - Well bet in first pair, he has shown erratic form in those two runs. Field is weak, and he could factor at a good price today. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
