Has worked nicely since and is the top selection. 2nd pick: #1 (Cuvee's Lady) - Races off a eight-month layoff and goes turf to dirt. Working nicely and Dominguez takes the mount. Win threat. 3rd pick: #4 (Up Up Away) - Shortens-up for this and daughter of "Wheelaway" has been competitive on a number of occasions. Stretch threat. BELMONT PARK Race #3 at 2:05 PM Eastern Top pick: #9 (SOUNDS FAMILIAR) - Well-bred ("Grand Slam") filly just missed last out in her first facing fellow New York-breds. Probably best that day as she has traffic trouble late. The top pick. 2nd pick: #7 (Delightful Vicky) - Only 2 1/2 lengths off of "Familiar" last out and that marked her second good start. Has enough speed to stay close and make a late run. 3rd pick: #5 (Lateday Edition) - Not seen since a pair of close together starts last summer she's working nicely and is in a good layoff barn (George Weaver 20%). Has some speed and is a contender. 4th pick: #8 (Es Mia) - She almost always encounters some type of trouble and did so last out in her seasonal debut. Cuts-back in distance and her best races have been on this surface (5-0-3-0). Contender. BELMONT PARK Race #8 at 4:45 PM Eastern Top pick: #10 (COPS FEVER) - Much improved since switching to the barn of Bill Phipps this lightly-raced gelding has the best last race (a narrow loss at Tampa Bay) and he has good positional speed. Working nicely at Saratoga and the top selection. 2nd pick: #3 (South Fourth St.) - He's only raced once on the grass and that came last out when he finished a rallying 4th after a poor start. Has some back class and looks like a serious player. 3rd pick: #1 (First of Ten) - Has some turf success and races today first off a Jacobson claim just over a week ago. Probably claimed with this race in mind. Don't sell too short. 4th pick: #8 (Bishop of Nola) - He broke his maiden at Aqueduct April 10 and looked sharp doing it. Lightly raced with room for more improvement he should factor against this weak group. BELMONT PARK Race #9 at 5:15 PM Eastern Top pick: #1 (GROOMED FOR VICTORY) - Has the rail and good speed/stalking abillity. Gelding had some traffic in his seasonal bow and closed out last year in good form. Likes the surface (6-2-1-0) and is the top choice. 2nd pick: #3 (Naughty New Yorker) - Veteran has raced well the past half year without winning. Still has enough left to be a factor against this crew and "millionaire" is working nicely. 3rd pick: #5 (Ruffino) - He raced evenly in his seasonal bow and speed/stalker should be set in his second off a rest to be competitive on his favorite track (6-2-2-1).
