Horse Racing Tipsters - May 07, 2008Tough day at the track yesterday as we had two top picks selections scratched. Today we are back for four races featuring two selections from Belmont and two from Churchill Downs. Today's Best Bet: Belmont Park Race 8 (# 1) GROOMEDFORVICTORY. Today's Horse Racing Picks: (# 6) RAP TALE - Returns for the always dangerous Pletcher barn. Makes first start in a claimer, which is always a powerful angle for this barn. Has good tactical speed. Rider change to Pletcher's main go-to rider John Velazquez. (# 4) Dance Lesson - Well spotted in this restricted claimer after a sharp maiden win at Gulfstream at today's mile distance. Showed improved speed that day with blinkers removed. Trainer Hough one-for-one at this meet. (# 3) Victory for M'lady - Back into a claimer after a dull effort in last. Willing to throw that race out as she was an easy winner two back off trainer change and a layoff. Should enjoy the stretch out in distance for a live barn. CHURCHILL DOWNS Race #ONE (1:15 PM Eastern) (# 3) STORM ON THE BLOCK - Ships in from West Virginia in an excellant spot. Makes second start off a layoff for the red-hot Maker barn. Last win over this course and distance. Has good tasctical speed. (# 1) Chaotic Achiever - Another well spotted seven-year-old makes first dirt start in a long time. Has won four times on the dirt, with 10 grass wins. Has won an incredible 14 races in 26 starts. Dangerous speed on the stretch out. Positive trainer change to McGee. (# 6) Delta Charlie - Gets a trainer change to Woodard back at Churchill and a dirt track. Has three wins over this course. Tactical speed to sit a good trip from outside post. CHURCHILL DOWNS Race #SIX (3:45 PM Eastern) (# 8) PATRICIA - Makes first start for Vance off a $40,000 claim. Back at Churchill after a decisive win at this level. Likes to lay back and make one run. Gets a lively pace to close on. Loves to win. Lanerie back aboard. (# 2) C B Snakeye - Danegerous speed stretching back out to two turns. Reunited with Mena who was aboard in a win at today's course and distance. Peak effort expected in third start off a layoff. (# 3) Durrymane - Makes first start for Audrey who is deadly off the claim. Takes a confident boost in class after a dismal effort. May have bled through her Lasix. Sharp form in prior starts. Rider change to Churchill's leading rider Albarado which indicates positive intent today. BELMONT Race #EIGHT (4:45 PM Eastern) (# 1) GROOMEDFORVICTORY - Powerful win March 28 at Gulfstream off the layoff with blinkers off. Back with New York breds today. Easily drew clear after setting a pressured pace throughout. Huge works for this stake. (# 2) Megapixel - Has never failed to run a strong race in five career starts. Has shown steady improvement each time. Rider change to Prado who forms a potent trainer and rider combination with Carlos Martin. (# 5) Fort Drum - Makes second start for Contessa off a trainer change and a private purchase. Gets blinkers off today.
