BetPhoenix 100% Deposit Match! ![]() Today's Horse Racing Picks: Top pick: #6 (CALL ME MR. BIG) - He finished second in his first pair on the dirt, then chased and tired June 2 in a turf contest. All of those starts came at the maiden-special level and his connections drop him in for a price tag for the first time. Can win this from just off the lead. 2nd pick: #3 (Fissato) - He hasn't started since last December, but he's also dropping into a claimer for the first time. He has good speed to bring and has a nice workout on June 17. If ready, he'll be tough to catch. 3rd pick: #5 (Neeyo) - Son of "Harry the Hat" finished a strong second in his debut here last October at this tag. He's been sidelined since, but his trainer (Dee Curry) is excellent off of long breaks (43%). Well spotted in his return run to inflict some late damage. PHILADELPHIA PARK Race #5 at 2:05 PM Eastern Top pick: #4 (KING DISCO) - He has a lot of minor awards (seven) to go along with his lone vctory, but he was beaten by less than a length here June 14 at this level and distance in a very game effort. Can win this by tracking and getting first run on the rail runner. 2nd pick: #3 (Made Of This) - Looks like the main speed and he's improving quickly at this point. Gelding by "Honour and Glory" has a flexible style and will be trying winners today. Big maiden win here on June 20 and his trainer (Derek Ryan) brings him back quickly. 3rd pick: #1 (Prudent Heir) - Closed strong, sprinting in the mud June 21 to just fail at this level. One-run type stretches back out and draws the rail. The quicker the pace, the better his chances. DELAWARE PARK Race #7 at 3:55 PM Eastern Top pick: #13 (AMBERSHAM) - Under-rated trainer, Jack Fisher, brings this son of "Dynaformer" over from Colonial Downs where he broke his maiden on June 6 at this distance in his first race in almost 15 months. Patient barn has this $240,000 yearling doing well and he can take this with a "clean" trip. 2nd pick: #4 (Hasta Luego) - He's really blossomed since trainer Jim Lawrence gave him a long rest (10 months). Gelding has won his last pair (both claimers) after finishing third in his return race. Has speed to either lead or track and his "figures" say he can compete here. Has a shot at the win. 3rd pick: #1 (Out At Night) - Another who's beginning to "put it all together." Three-year-old by "Aptitude" has really taken to the grass and continues to get better. Close-up style is a plus and he draws the inside post. Runs big again. DELAWARE PARK Race #9 at 4:50 PM Eastern Top pick: #4 (COFFEE CAKE) - Gelding by "Empire Maker" had a terrible trip last out and was probably best. Making his first start in two months, he had good position around the far turn and he appeared to have a lot of run, but was taken far out in the track by rivals who were bearing out. That cost him more lengths than he was beaten. Can win this today. 2nd pick: #11 (Twister Crossing) - Like many of her horses, this gelding in the barn of Sanna Hendricks has alternated between "hurdle" and "flat" racing. Competitive doing both he finished a fine second here at this level on June 16. Repeat of that makes him a win contender. 3rd pick: #7 (Lean Machine) - Gelding from the barn of Todd Pletcher will stretch out for the first time and will move back to the grass where he ran his best race earlier this year. Has a shot on the front-end. 4th pick: #6 (Bodyshots) - Drops and moves to the turf in his second start for trainer Julio Cartagena. Bred to handle the grass he was entered last out on that surface but race was "washed off" the infield. Sharp barn has him primed for his best.
