Belmont Park Race # 3 = Top Pick# 5 ( Le Grand Cru) Pd. $4.60

Monmouth Park Race # 9 = Exacta ( 3-9) Pd. $60.40

Today's Horse Racing Picks:

BELMONT PARK Race #2 at 3:30 PM Eastern

Top pick: #7 (GREEN HARBOR) - The main speed takes a big drop ( $35,000 down to $15K) and goes from turf to dirt for trainer Bob Barbara. Filly finished a strong 2nd May 1st on this surface before tiring late last out on the turf. The pick.
2nd pick: #3 (Royal Vessel) - Drops, goes 2nd off 4 1/2 month layoff and switches to Edgar Prado. Filly caught slop last out going a mile and broke poorly. Can turn it around here against a rather weak group.
3rd pick: #6 (Gin Tango) - Daughter of "Go For Gin" broke her maiden May 24th racing here for $25,000, then finished 2nd despite having trouble at the start in her first vs. winners running for today's $15K tag. Exotic's player.
4th pick: #5 (Eastern Prime) - Nice maiden win a week ago in her first race back off a two month layoff. Tries winners today, but the last was a positive experience. May hit the exacta.

BELMONT PARK Race #6 at 5:30 PM Eastern
Top pick: #7 (WORLD EXPRESS) - Drops into a claimer for the first time and daughter of "Western Expresion" also will move from the turf to the dirt. Has some talent and she should find this group very accommodating. The top pick.
2nd pick: #2 (Saarlandisourland) - Logical contender has speed/stalking ability and will race in Blinkers for the first time. Big "bullet" work on view and it's presumably with the "hood" on that she'll wear this afternoon.
3rd pick: #3 (A Word To The Wise) - Has some speed/stalking ability and gets a big rider up-grade to Ramon Dominguez. Can compete for the top spot in this weak field.
4th pick: #4 (Lyrical Bobcat) - Hasn't done much running in her three starts, but she'll take that all important first drop into a maiden claimer this afternoon. Latest pair of works are pretty good and could allow her to hit the exotics at a square price.

CHURCHILL DOWNS Race #5 at 7:50 PM Eastern
Top pick: #1 (FIVE PLUS FIVE) - Freshened-up since a late April claim by trainer Wayne Mogge, filly is training sharply on the Turfway "Poly" and draws the rail. Big effort when last seen, sprinting clear but unable to last, finishing 2nd. The pick.
2nd pick: #4 (Offlee Dark) - Filly raced close-up in her May 21st debut at the maiden special level. Trainer Mark Casse has her working steadily for her 2nd start and she'll drop into a claimer. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #12 (Jack in the Cat) - Daughter of "Tale of the Cat" finished 2nd in her debut after showing high early speed. Draws a nice post to clear off from in this large field and that shoul lead to another big effort.
4th pick: #5 (McTapit) - Filly made up some ground in her debut here on May 30th. Daughter of "Tapit" finished 3rd that day about 4 lengths behind "Jack in the Cat". Nice drill on June 20th indicates better is coming and her trainer (Ken McPeek) is strong 2nd time out (24%).

Churchill Downs Race #6 at 8:20 PM Eastern
Top pick: #8 (FEMININE FLAIR) - Bred for the turf, filly ran well in her Gulfstream debut in a maiden special. Claimed out of her 2nd start by Mike Maker from Bill Mott for $50K, new connections run her back under that price and off a two month layoff. Barn wins at a 30% clip with it's fresh claims and is also very good (26%) with layoffs of this type. The pick.
2nd pick: #10 (Bobby's Bell ) - Daughter of "Victory Gallop" goes first off a Steve Margolis claim and he'll move her back to the turf where she ran her best race of three this psat March at the Fair Grounds. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (See the Future) - Has some problems and only has made it to the gate twice in 2 1/2 years of eligibility. Sharp barn (Eddie Kenneally) switches her to the turf and she has a simply outstanding work on June 20th.
4th pick: #7 (How Regal) - Daughter of "Indian Charlie" is bred for the grass but has only run on dirt and "Poly" in her 10 starts. Has some speed and believe she'll run well.
5th pick: #2 (Paper Shredder) - Showed good speed in her debut but raced very poorly 2nd time out. Her trainer (Helen Pitts) moves her to the grass and stretches her out in distance. Both of those moves are positive ones for the barn.

HOLLYWOOD PARK Race #3 at 11:00 PM Eastern
Top pick: #8 (ACTION CALL) - He had a tough pot (10) last out and raced very wide the entire race. Previous three starts put him in this, and at a square price. Can "upset" this group.
2nd pick: #5 (Sammy's a Runnin) - Trainer (Art Sherman) has never quite caught fire on "poly" but he stills knows how to train. This son of "Swiss Yodeler" has a solid series of drills on view and Tyler Baze sees fit to ride him first out. Interesting runner.
3rd pick: #4 (Dandy Dancer) - Gelding has not finished worse than 3rd in four career starts and brings good speed to the party. He'll be in this from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #9 (Daylight Storm) - Has good speed and has run strongly in his last pair. Win candidate and the probable favorite , but he can be beat.
