Tuesday's Results Philadelphia Park Race # 5 = # 8 (Il Terrazo) Pd. $6.60 Exacta ( 8-3) Pd. $27.20 Delaware Park Race # 2 = Exacta ( 1-7) Pd. $26.60 Delaware Park Race # 5 = T-fecta Box ( 4-8-6) Pd. $43.20 ![]() Today's Horse Racing Picks: Top pick: #1 (FRESH FOOTNOTES) - Prepared in Florida at Calder for her debut, daughter of "Read The Footnotes" has some fine works before shipping nort and trainer Timmy Ritvo reacshs out to Ramon Dominguez. Rail draw is a plus. 2nd pick: #4 (All the Single Ladys) - Latest drill is excellent and daughter of the young stallion "Purge" is in a good barn (Bruce Brown) and attracts Lezcano. May be a square price. 3rd pick: #6 (Mineralogist) - Home-bred by "Mineshaft" has a pair of very fast work on her resume over the deep Spa training track. Trainer (John Kimmel) names Desormeaux and triner/rider is a strong one (23%) when teamed up. MONMOUTH PARK Race #3 at 1:40 PM Eastern Top pick: #3 (JET PRO) - Tired slightly in the mud to finish 2nd as he was sent long after a 8 week layoff. Draws inside of the other contenders and he should be sharper in his 2nd back off the rest. Can win this on the front-end. 2nd pick: #1 (You're Ready Now) - Draws the rail and one run type should get to save all the ground and mount a rally around the far turn. Comes here from West Virginia after finishing a fast closing 2nd in a maiden special. This $30K tag should be where he fits on this circuit. 3rd pick: #4 (Indian Reservation) - Good barn (Greg Sacco) brings back this gelding off a layoff late in "08". He's run well when in maiden claimers before and his works indicate he should be ready "off the bench". Contender, but will need his best to defeat the top pair. BELMONT PARK Race #4 at 2:30 PM Eastern Top pick: #6 (SCHOLARLY PURSUIT) - Daughter of "Songandaprayer" debuts for a siolid barn (George Weaver) and does so off some nice works first in New Jersey and the last five locally. Meets a very weak field, and if she can run at all, she should win this. 2nd pick: #1 (Karakorumsweetheart) - Speedy daughter of "Prime Timber" draws the rail and will be going 2nd off a 7 week break. Winner of her latest was impressive and this filly never stopped trying. Win threat from the rail. 3rd pick: #5 (Saint Midas) - Daughter of "Touch Gold" has raced evenly in her first three starts and will drop down to $12,500 today for the first time. Mid-pack type can impact here if she can finish a bit better. BELMONT PARK Race #5 at 3:00 PM Eastern Top pick: #3 (FIONA FREUD) - She's never won here, but has many strong efforts (11-0-5-4). Makes her 3rd start back off a long layoff (7 months) and she's run well in her return pair. Can win this from on, or just off the lead. 2nd pick: #2 (Tutti Va Bene) - Broke her maiden two back in a strong peformance on this course at this distance. Raced in an "off the turf" contest last out and tired after racing close-up early. Return to the turf makes her a threat. 3rd pick: #5 (Justinline) - Veteran has been seeking her 2nd win for a long time but has some good tries on her resume. Has enough speed to stay close and has a shot turning for home. 4th pick: #10 (Donna's Sandee) - Equally adept on turf or dirt, she can stalk from this outside post and have a clear shot turning for home. She should be competitive against this group. ![]() Horse Racing Picks Resources: Check out the last five Horse Racing Picks Newsletters: Horse-Racing-Picks-June-23-2009 Horse-Racing-Picks-June-22-2009 Horse-Racing-Picks-June-21-2009 Horse-Racing-Picks-June-20-2009 Horse-Racing-Picks-June-19-2009 |
