Stretch runner did so on a track that was favoring speed that day and looks well set-up by her connections this afternoon. Volk is very strong 2nd off a claim (41%). 2nd pick: #3 (Beautiful Rainbows) - Claimed by Patty Farro off a nice looking win here last out. Likes to win ( 11 of 32 on the dirt) and is well spotted off the claim. Contender. 3rd pick: #2 (Talking Flirt) - She's finished behind "Rainbows" in her last pair, but was less than a length behind that rival last out. Has good speed and goes 2nd off a two month break. Exotic's player. BELMONT PARK Race #6 at 3:40 PM Eastern Top pick: #3 (CLIENT EIGHT) - Goes 3rd off a layoff and drops into a maiden-claimer for the first time for the hot Mike Hushion barn. He had a bit of a "troubled" trip in his most recent, so his trainer adds blinkers this afternoon in an attempt to put more speed into him. 2nd pick: #7 (Coach Fruscio) - Over-matched in a stakes last out which was run in the slop. Bruce Levine trained colt finished a rallying 3rd in his previous race (which was his debut). Working well for this, he comes into this off of a two month layoff. 3rd pick: #5 (Offensive Attack) - Has good speed, drops in class, and gets the addition of blinkers for this. He finished behind the top choice in his lastest after tiring in the mud. 4th pick: #6 (Strings and Bows.) - Drops in price and gets the addition of lasix which should improve his performance. MONMOUTH PARK Race #7 at 3:45 PM Eastern Top pick: #2 (ANNIKA GIRL) - Ships in from Philadelphia Park, drops in class, is approaching her best, and she brings her rider (Angel Arroyo) with her. Stalker should be much closer early given the projected "moderate" pace scenario. Can run them down turning for home. 2nd pick: #3 (Golden Cove) - Probable favorite stretches-out off a sprint race which saw her finish an even 3rd to a "much the best" winner. Trainer (Greg Sacco) is good on the stretch-out and this filly will prove very tough in this spot. Almost put her on top. 3rd pick: #7 (A T M Melody) - Has some speed in a race without a lot of pace on paper. Filly comes off a good effort where she awarded the win via a disqualification. Contender. DELAWARE PARK Race #7 at 3:55 PM Eastern Top pick: #4 (GET THE SILVER) - Drops, has the best early speed, and goes turf to dirt for a good trainer (Tim Salzman) with that manuver (24%). Lightly raced son of "Toccet" should be able to clear off early and take them "all the way". 2nd pick: #2 (El Don Pepe) - New York shipper finished 2nd here early in the meet facing cheaper. Speed/stalker moves up in price and draws towards the ril. Not as fast as the top pick, but a contender nontheless. 3rd pick: #5 (Proud McKee) - Mid-pack type has been racing evenly for a long time. Cuts-back in distance for a hot barn (Randy Nunley) and could hit the exotics at a square price. 4th pick: #3 (Five Star Nikki) - Has some speed and drops after facing tougher in his first start against fellow winners. Barn is trying to figure where he'll be competitive next. The drop is a good start. BELMONT PARK Race #9 at 5:15 PM Eastern Top pick: #6 (API MOHKAT) - Mid-pack type drops in class and shortens-up in distance off a solid 3rd place finish going longer last out. He's come back to work well at Saratoga since that race and this 7 furlong distance should be just right. 2nd pick: #11 (Here I Go Again) - Won his last in wire-to-wire fashion going 6 furlongs and finds himself with the most speed in this field and with the best post( the outside) at this 7 furlong distance. Has a solid shot at another win. 3rd pick: #5 (Kenta Kun) - Drops into a career soft spot and has a very good record at this tough distance. Once much classier runner goes 2nd off a layoff and is set for a top try. 4th pick: #1 (Soaring By) - Capable at this tag and distance he'll need to save ground early and try a bid from the inside in this large. Difficult, but not impossible, though a small slice may be his ceiling.
