Entries for Saturday's Belmont Stakes (G1) will be drawn tomorrow afternoon and our newsletter for that day will feature the "Test of Champions" and five other races on the under card (mostly stakes). Look for it online by mid-day on Friday. Today's racing menu has two races each from Delaware and Philadelphia Park. Today's Best Bet is #4 Splendid Appeal in Race #7 at Delaware Park. Monday's Results: Philadelphia Park Race #4 Top Pick #5 (Pocket Patch) $4.40.  Today's Horse Racing Picks: Top pick: #9 (NO PARKING ZONE) - Has good speed and the best post at this distance to use it from. Daughter of "Ecton Park" was claimed two back and finished a fine pace-setting second in her first for the new connections. The top pick. 2nd pick: #2 (Lost Queen) - Maryland shipper finished second last out going longer after contesting the pace. Race should set her up nicely for this as she cuts-back in distance. Dangerous rival. 3rd pick: #5 (Cookie's Turn) - Failed to fire last out against better after a series of three "even" efforts at the same tag. Drops, and is a contender. 4th pick: #1 (Dianne's Choice) - Draws the rail and has some speed. Competitive in her last pair, she'll need to save something extra for the stretch drive. DELAWARE PARK Race #3 at 2:05 PM Eastern Top pick: #4 (SHROUD) - Daughter of "Dixie Union" finished a disappointing third last out as a heavy favorite with no visible excuse. Drops slightly and a repeat of her previous effort (a fine pace-chasing second) will get the job done. 2nd pick: #3 (Vicarious Miss) - Returns from a long layoff (8 1/2 months) with some fine works and a new trainer (Pete Walder). Daughter of the "Vicar" drops into a claimer off the rest and her trainer is one of the best in the business with layoffs of this length (five for his last seven). 3rd pick: #2 (Warm Climate) - Speedy filly makes start No. 21 and cuts back to a sprint for the first time in nine starts. Should be fit enough and a small award is certainly possible. 4th pick: #1 (Feint) - Maryland shipper drops and goes start off a layoff for trainer Ann Merryman. Daughter of "Two Punch" should offer whatever she has in this spot. DELAWARE PARK Race #7 at 3:55 PM Eastern Top pick: #4 (SPLENDID APPEAL) - Speedy gelding won a starter-allowance at Penn National on April 16 in his first start for trainer Cody Autry. Freshened-up since, he's working fast locally and is nicely spotted today to pick up another win. The pick. 2nd pick: #6 (Rough Shod Heir) - He rallied late at this level and distance last out to just "nip" the fourth pick here for the place spot. Stalker is drawn outside of the other major players and should have a clear shot turning for home. 3rd pick: #1 (Beam Me Up) - Drops and cuts-back in distance in his start try at this 3l condition. Won at this tag and distance two back and he brings good stalking ability to the contest. Rail draw is a plus. 4th pick: #3 (Hit A Homer) - Tired chasing an easy winner(and heavy favorite) in his latest before tiring in the last 1/8th. All things stay the same for this attempt and he should be competitive. PHILADELPHIA PARK Race #10 at 4:15 PM Eastern Top pick: #3 (ROYAL COMMAND) - Makes his third start off a long layoff (eight months), drops into a career soft spot, and has good early speed. Runs for the Scott Lake barn and son of "Mt. Livermore" is the horse to catch and beat. 2nd pick: #7 (Ace's Mark) - Also goes third off a layoff and has both speed/stalking ability. Gelding has finished close-up in both of his return runs at this tag and he's a win threat. 3rd pick: #11 (Holy Nunz) - He's raced evenly in a pair of starts at this level after coming back from a seven-week break earlier this year. Can see him racing in the clear about 3-5 lengths from the top. Needs to finish a bit better. 4th pick: #9 (Morris Tough) - Firster is almost 4 1/2-yrs-old and is just getting to the races, so he must have some issues. Works are fine, as is his sire ("Good and Tough") and trainer (Ron Dandy). Need not be much to impact here.
