Best Horse Racing Systems - July 04, 2008HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! Today, because of the Holiday, we'll offer five races for analysis and selections instead of the usual four. We have three from Belmont and a pair from Monmouth Park. Belmont has changed it's post to 3:00 pm (EST) as they will will be hosting a large Holiday party at the completion of the racing card. Today's Best Bet is # 4 Caesar Beware in Race # 6 at Belmont Park. Thursday’s Results: Belmont Park Race #1 #7 (Classy Concern) $6.40. Monmouth Park Race # 4 #4 (Rollin the Dice) $40.60. Monmouth Park Race # 7 #7 (Oswyn) $6.40. ![]() Today's Horse Racing Picks: (# 4) MASK and WIG - Stalked and had good position in his latest, but could not find enough late kick. Makes his second start back for the Barclay Tagg barn off a three-month layoff, and should offer his best today. (# 6) Asiago - Lagged too far back in his latest and could not make up the necessary ground late. Colt by "El Prado" was on the pace in his previous start and should reboud with a much better run today. (# 9) Western Dynamo - Lack of any early speed hurts his chances, but he has faced tougher in New York in his last pair. Working well at Saratoga for this attempt. I think he's a late threat and a win factor. (# 1) Roman Tiger - Barn always does well with it's turf runners and has been a bit unlucky at this meet with six times as many seconds as wins. Colt raced up and on the pace in his debut and stayed on to finish third, Draws the hedge and any improvement puts him in the win mix. BELMONT PARK Race #THREE (4:00 PM Eastern) (# 7) BIG JEROME - Shortens up a furlong after a game score here for $35,000 going seven furlongs. He's never raced this short on the grass, but he should receive a fast pace to rally into. Prado sticks right here. (# 2) Bishop's Back - Scored two back in wire-to-wire fashion on this surface and distance against $35,000 foes. Had a ton of trouble in his next at this level and rallied late to finish third. Lightly raced and has plenty of speed to bring. (# 4) Marq of Love - Cuts back in distance and is sent into a starter-allowance fresh off a Dave Jacobson claim. His pair of grass races off a three-month freshening have been sharp and trainer is having a good season with his claims. MONMOUTH PARK Race #NINE (4:40 PM Eastern) (# 5) J Be K - Hard to look beyond him in this stakes today. Simply awesome in wiring the field in the Woddy Stephens (G2) on the Belmont under-card, colt is undefeated and essentially untested in his four sprint races. Short price is assured so hook him up in the exactas. (# 6) Indy Joe - Draws a cozy post to either try and beat the favorite to the top or to stalk just off of him. Improving with each start, he won the "Rumson" on this track in his last start on May 31. The main danger. (# 3) Silver Edition - Rallied late in the "Woody Stephens" to get the place spot in the last jump, though almost six lengths behind the choice. Mid-pack style and a fast pace should see him put in another strong rally. BELMONT PARK Race #SIX (5:30 PM Eastern) (# 4) CAESAR BEWARE - Shortens up a furlong after having a lot of trouble in his last at this tag going seven furlongs. Won two back at this distance and enters this in fine shape. Wins this from on or just off the top. (# 1) Mad Bob Cat - Claimed out of his last start of '07 by trainer Dave Jacobson for $35,000, he hasn't started since. Comes back at the same price and has run well in his turf starts. Factor if ready. (# 3) L'Oiseau d' Argent - Veteran will be making his first start since last May and only his third in the past 19 months. Training well for his return and he has fired off of long layoffs in the past. (# 8) King Rush - Stronach Stable runner had raced well in his pair of recent turf sprints and has finished close-up in both. In shape while many others are in "questionable" condition, he could impact this at a nice price. BELMONT PARK Race #SEVEN (6:00 PM Eastern) (# 2) RITE MOMENT - Mare was on a quite a run this past winter into spring after arriving from Chicago and entering the barn of Gary Contessa. Quickly became a stakes star and was sent in for a freshening in mid-May after a busy four months. Working sharply for her return, she appears to thrive on racing and by the looks of the drills, she will come back fresh and fast. (# 1a) Looky Yonder - The main-danger became a stakes winner last out with a smart looking win in the "Vagrancy"(G2) on this track May 25. Draws a good post and three of her five lifetime wins have come at this 7-furlong distance. (# 7) Any Limit - Veteran mare hasn't looked like the same filly that raced here in the first half of 2007. Major stakes winner will be going third off a long layoff and is working fast since her latest. She'll run much better today. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
