Free Horse Racing Systems - January 19, 2008Yesterday we nailed a trifecta box (3-2-1) at Aqueduct's third race for $119. We also nailed an exacta box from Oaklawn's first race (4-3) good for $97.20! Today's five races will cover three different tracks, Aqueduct, Gulfstream and Oaklawn. Today's Best Bet is #1 Ride The Whiz in Race #3 at Oaklawn Park. Friday's Results: Aqueduct Race #3 Trifecta box of the three selections (3-2-1) paid $119.00.
Oaklawn Park Race #1 Top Pick Winner #4 (Bagoga) paid $4.00. Exacta Top pick with fourth pick (4-3) paid $97.20. Today's Horse Racing Picks: (# 1) STRIGHTUP TWELVE - Scott Lake trained gelding finished fourth in the slop here on Jan. 1. Good hard-hitter is a better runner than that last effort, and on a fast track with the rail, he could prove very tough in here. (# 3) Lights of Broadway - The potent team of Richard Englander and Bruce Levine claimed this stakes winner five races back and all he has done is win four in a row for them. Fits well here and he brings plenty of speed. (# 6) Brazenly Bold - Drops significantly for the Contessa barn. He's been facing tougher than these and the price relief should make him a contender. (# 5) Lorccan - Cuts back in distance after going long in his last three. Will need some pace help as he's a late-on-the-scene type. In shape, he may run well at a square price. AQUEDUCT Race #THREE (1:25 PM Eastern) (# 5) SILVER LIGHT - Took him a long time to break his maiden, but it wasn't for lack of trying. His resume is filled with top tries and some of those who defeated him have gone on to do well in stakes. From the hot combination of Asmussen/Elliott he should run these down in the lane. (# 1) Salzburg - Has speed and the rail. Lightly raced four-year-old ran poorly in latest just two days ago. Trainer has run them back quickly before, and he may compete. If he does, he's the speed of this party. (# 2) El Medwar - Solid runner likes to stalk and make a late bid. If all go, the pace scenario may play into his hands. (# 6) Pay in Kind - Don't normally like to write up four horses in a six-horse race, but with the strong possibility that the rail runner will scratch, this runner would have an exacta chance. GULFSTREAM PARK Race #FOUR (2:40 PM Eastern) (# 3) SOME KIND OF MAGIC - Very quick gelding makes his second start off a late September layoff for trainer Ambrose Pascucci. Return race on Jan. 9 was a good tightener as he pressed a fast pace from a poor post (12) and tired in the final furlong. Has a great shot at "wiring" this field. Only negative is the rider, who I cannot find any information on. (# 6) Charlie Cho - Ran on well late in last, his first try sprinting since April 2007. Late-on-the-scene type may close into the tri or exacta. (# 5) Bullarium - Has a shot at a good price if jockey is patient and allows this runner to make a late run. He doesn't have enough speed to contend early, so that should be the strategy. (# 7) Frisky Flyer - Mid-pack runner needs to find more late to improve on anything better than a minor award. AQUEDUCT Race #SIX (2:50 PM Eastern) (# 5) MALIBU GARDENS - Well bet in both of his races and they came six months apart. Jimmy Jerkens-trained colt ran in the mud in his return from a July layoff and finished evenly. He's worked three times since that Dec. 29 race and trainer adds Lasix for this distance run. (# 2) Tony the Terio - Drew a very difficult post (12) in his debut in early December. Has had over a month off and is working well. Draws towards the rail and goes long for a barn that's heating up. (# 4) Cash For Gold - Think he's your front runner. Showed speed in a pair of sprints, gets blinkers on and has a very sharp recent drill. Very dangerous on the front end. (# 1) Broadway Melodrama - Debuted in the mud, and that's never an easy assignment. Ran on some late, improving his position. Draws the rail and tries a distance. OAKLAWN PARK Race #THREE (3:05 PM Eastern) (# 1) RIDE THE WHIZ - Lukas runner looks like the fastest of these on paper and he draws the rail. Son of "Out of Place" has shown speed in all of five of his starts and has done so racing against tougher. Colt has a very sharp drill over this surface on Dec. 30. Looks like a wire-to-wire winner. (# 6) Solid Blue - Gelding has improved in all three of his races. Raced evenly in his last at Turfway, which was his first try at a distance. (# 10) Billybud - Solid runner has been off since late November. Late closer is working well at Churchill for his return and he's a solid contender. (# 5) Billy Brake - Barn (Ron Moquette) generally points for this meet. Colt by "Grand Slam" cost $145,000 and is offered up for $30,000. Works are better than average. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
