Horse Racing Form - January 10, 2008Today we have four races from Aqueduct and Gulfstream Park on our menu for selection and analysis. Today's Best Bet is #3 Kaz Court in Race #2 at Aqueduct. *Wunderdog Special 40% Deposit Bonus at Diamond* Today's Horse Racing Picks: (# 3) KAZ COURT - Looms as the horse to beat off her latest, when she pressed a very fast pace before tiring in the last furlong. Trainer Bob Barbara adds blinkers today and Dominguez takes over the riding assignment. (# 8) Return to Karakorum - Trainer Jeff Odintz adds Lasix to filly who is coming off her best start to date. Daughter of New York legend "Say Florida Sandy" looks ready to show her best. (# 6) Try Love - Richard Violette trained filly has been regrouped with since her debut in mid-November. Broke poorly and raced greenly that day. Works are good for the comeback and Luzzi takes the reride. (# 9) Saratoga Chance - Has some back races and enough experience to hit the board against these. Filly needs to finish better. GULFSTREAM PARK Race #TWO (1:40 PM Eastern) (# 2) BRUTAL ATTACK - Wayne Catalano trained runner stretches out today after winning his last sprinting on the grass. Colt is undefeated on turf with a three-for-three record. Runner is coming back off a freshening and the works indicate that he's ready to roll. (# 3) Verismo - Has a good record at Calder against slightly weaker competition. Makes his first start for Steve DiMauro and Velasquez's presence is duly noted. (# 6) Sabre Baby - Obvious contender from the Richard Dutrow barn, returns from a freshening and has faced better most of his career. Runner has always run well here and he's a legitimate threat. (# 8) Transit of Venus - Has proven to be a reliable performer on the mid-Atlantic circuit for a few years now. Now in the care of Helen Pitts he could factor here with a good trip. AQUEDUCT Race #FOUR (1:50 PM Eastern) (# 2) TOWN DOC - Drops into a claimer for the first time and meets a very weak field. Broke poorly in latest at the MSW level but still ran on well. Goes second off a two-month layoff and can defeat these. (# 4) Dual Citizenship - Drops from $35 to $15k and goes third off a spring layoff. Son of "Phone Trick" was "legged" up in a mile race last time and looks well meant in this spot. (# 9) Ferdi's Prince - Stumbled and bumped at the start of latest and trainer Rick Violette sends him down the claiming ladder today. Needs to finish better in order to have a chance. Garcia's presence is noted. (# 3) Straight Plush - Form has deteriorated from Jul. to Sept. layoff. Takes the plunge to $15k and trainer Leah Gyamarti takes off the blinkers. AQUEDUCT Race #SIX (2:50 PM Eastern) (# 1) TUFFEND - Contessa/Dominguez runner comes-back after a seven-month layoff today. Had a wide trip in well-bet debut won by fine stakes performer "Spanky Fishbein." Working well for his return he meets many who are making their first start. (# 5) Buckeye Tiger - Barn (Ben Perkins Jr.) was deadly with firsters at one time. This son of "Explicit" has been working swiftly for some time now and looks sharp for her debut. (# 4) Please Impress - Debut runner comes from a top first out barn (Richard Dutrow) and trainer's initial firsters win at a 36% rate. Works don't tell us much one way or the other. Respect on the trainer angle. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
