In Fair Grounds Race # 5, Top Pick Winner # 6 (Seventytimesseven) paid $3.60. The Exacta Top with 2nd (6-2) paid $9.60 and the Trifecta Top-2nd-3rd (6-2-4) paid $25.40. Finally in Fair Grounds Race # 8, Top Pick Winner # 1 (Good Offer) paid $7.00/ We'll move to south Florida for four races from hopefully sunny Calder Race Course. Best Bet is # 1 Victory At Shiloh in Race # 10 at Calder Race Course. ![]() Today's Horse Racing Picks: (# 7) TANGANYIKA - Returns to competition for the Pletcher barn after 2 1/2 months on the sidelines. Showed enough ability in his three races to warrant attention. Blinkers are removed and runner has been conditioning at Palm Beach Downs. (# 9) Two Double - Well-backed in last pair since joining the Marty Wolson barn. Has speed, is improving, and will try turf for the first time. Working well, and he is very dangerous. One of this top pair should win the race. (# 6) Incalzado - Away since early September for Sal Russo. Son of Giant's Causeway had a pair of runs at Saratoga and ran evenly in both. Had problems at the start, and may have fared better if not for them. (# 8) Sir Dynamite - Firster by Dynaformer is also trained by Todd Pletcher. Works are steady and he was with the main-body in New York but never started. CALDER Race #FIVE (2:15 PM Eastern) (# 4) BLUE RAGE - Wide trip in latest hurt her chances late, as she settled for third. Lightly raced and well-bred, she should offer up her best today. (# 3) Emma's Valentine - Goes second off the Hurtak claim and makes her first start over a distance of ground. Alert start should have her involved from the beginning. (# 1) Agora Ja - Has improved in all three starts, the last closing from far back to finish fourth. Post should again allow her to save ground before rallying late. (# 5) Blue Witch - Has a hint of speed and ran well, finishing second two back at this tag and distance. CALDER Race #SIX (2:40 PM Eastern) (# 3) PO PURR E. - Claimed for 16K last out by Kirk Ziadie. Runs her back first for $10,000. Trainer is an astounding 47% fresh off the buy. Has plenty of speed and has beaten better this season. (# 5) Max's Song - Cleared the second win hurdle two back at this price-tag. Tried better stock in first try against three time victors. Has some speed and can also stalk. (# 11) Ms. Freightstalker - Drops and switches surfaces. May need to get involved a bit sooner to be in range for a late rally. (# 10 ) Honey Do This - She's in shape and moves off the inside for this. Has been keeping better company most of the year, and one of her two wins is at this distance. Shot at the tri and super at a big price. CALDER Race #TEN (4:30 PM Eastern) (# 1) VICTORY AT SHILOH - Stretches out for Dave Fawkes off a series of sprints where he stalked and held his ground well. Draws the rail and saves all the ground before he offers his run. Can take the measure of this group. (# 4) Aarons Special - Goes third off a layoff for Larry Bates. Both return runs were goodand he kept better company before needing a break. (# 7) Agrigento - Logical selection has picked it up in his last two, but did so from cozy inside draws. There is speed inside of him, so his strategy may be different. (# 5) Gianormous - Has some speed and can stay on without losing too much ground. Has never tried two-turns. Trainer is average on the move. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
