Horse Racing Picks - December 07, 2007Had a nice-priced winner at the Fair Grounds yesterday, #12 Greede Me in race number four. Horse paid $19.00 but other than cashing a small win bet, we missed by a head of getting the exacta. Today we have selections and analysis on five races from Aqueduct. Today's Best Bet is # 5 Belz in race # 9 at Aqueduct. Thursday's Results: Fair Grounds Race #4 Top Pick Winner #12 (Greede Me) Paid $19.Today's Horse Racing Picks: (# 3) REGAL OFFICER - Good "Key" in the exacta. Should be able to run no worse than second against this field. Bumping incident cost him in last. Previous run in first try against winners was fine. (# 6) Saint Barr - Obvious contender, has plenty of speed and will try and clear these early. Dick Dutrow runner may be getting good very quickly. (# 5) Bankbusted - Poor run in first race off the Contessa claim. Trainer rarely makes a poor buy, so beware of major improvement. (# 7) Makeithapencaptain - Claimed by Mike Miceli last out, he raises runner to $50K today - an encouraging sign. Has a very sharp work on Nov. 25. AQUEDUCT Race #TWO (12:55 PM Eastern) (# 6) NAIMA - Blinkers go on for Tom Bush. Trainer also sends her long for the first time, and also drops her in class. Improved in second outing, and she should run much better today. (# 2) Fiddler's Fever - Improved run in latest, her third lifetime start, and it came off a price reduction. Should be involved early from this post. (# 4) Phil Cat - Poor effort this past Sunday sends this filly farther down in price for the Contessa barn. Nice run in previous attempt. Look for much better here. AQUEDUCT Race #SIX (2:40 PM Eastern) (# 1) NULLIFY - Tries the main track for the first time after four grass races. Continues to work well on the dirt and think his experience, good works, and fine post give him a chance at an upset. (# 4) Puttinonthebling - Probable favorite comes here by way of the mid-west where he raced well in several starts. Second in last at Churchill points him out. (# 5) Jimmy Jump Jump - Big speed shown in only start, a sprint on the main track. Trainer (Jim Ryerson) is 19% on this stretch-out move. Colt may be tough to catch. (# 6) Judith's Garden - Fair try in a sprint to begin his career. Doesn't have enough speed to clear, but may receive a good stalking journey. AQUEDUCT Race #EIGHT (3:40 PM Eastern) (# 7) YOUR FLAME IN ME - Hard to go against runner who will try and out foot them early on. May need to stalk outside the #4 runner "Lauras Last Music." Either strategy should get it done. (# 2) Dicey Girl - Impressive in last at Philadelphia Park. Stalker has a fighting chance if the top pick has a tussle with the #5 runner. (# 3) Golden Dawn - Good looking maiden win in first start for the Hushion barn. Should move forward again in second off the layoff. (# 1) Meadow Breeze - Stumble in latest, and a wide trip in previous run, both off a 10 month vacation. Goes better today. AQUEDUCT Race #NINE (4:10 PM Eastern) (# 5) BELZ - Looks all set for a wire-to-wire win by the Tom Bush barn. Can take these with an alert and trouble-free beginning. (# 6) Stopbluffing - Obvious contender ran too good to lose last out, doing all the hard work only to be run down by a dead closer. (# 3) New York Moon - Last showed some sneaky improvement. Appears to be coming around for the Contessa barn. (# 7) Nine Positives - Possible that strong closer will make up enough ground to get into the tri. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
