Us Horse Racing Picks - December 04, 2007Yesterday we had a nice trifecta hit from Calder's third race (4-1-3) for $129.80. With the major racing centers reopening tomorrow, we'll stay where the sun should be shining - Turf Paradise for four races. Today's Best Bet is # 3 Red's Rose Blanket in Race # 8 at Turf Paradise. Monday's Results: Calder Race # 3 Best Bet Winner # 4 (Singin Inthe Rain) Paid $5. Exacta Best Bet with third pick (4-1) Paid $42.80. Trifecta Best Bet with third and second pick (4-1-3) Paid $129.80.
Calder Race # 10 Top Pick Winner # 3 (Catch Me Cupid) Paid $3.20. Today's Horse Racing Picks: (# 2) DEL MAR TED - Makes his Arizona debut today after running four times in So. California. Now with trainer Kevin Lewis, he wins with 27% of new arrivals to his barn. Colt by "Bertrando" should be flying late. (# 8) Tealc - Well bet in bow on Nov. 18 he had problems at the start and ran evenly after that finishing third beaten by 10 lengths. Good post today, and he should improve a lot. (# 6) SS Malibu - Poor start in Arizona debut after starting twice at Retama Park. Another who may improve with a clean break. (# 1) Untouchable Yodie - Ran a decent fourth two back at this level. Broke inward from an outside post in next, and that eliminated him from contention. Possible in the tri or super at a good price. TURF PARADISE Race #FIVE (4:10 PM Eastern) (# 10) FIGHT ON SC - Stalker draws a good post for his style. Very sharp at present, he should get a slight jump on the other choices when he launches his rally. Good shot at the win. (# 2) Marina Minister - Trainer Molly Pearson has been on fire since coming back from Delaware Park. This veteran won his last at this level easily, and is more than capable of stringing top efforts together. (# 7) Par Five In Two - His only poor race on view was his first start at this track on Oct. 22. That was his first off a two-month break, so he just may have needed the race. (# 6) Jeepster - Blinkers go on for trainer Joe Toye. Deep closer needs some legitimate fractions to rally into. TURF PARADISE Race #SIX (4:35 PM Eastern) (# 3) ORGAN PIPE - Should get a nice stalking trip just off the presumed leader #5 - "Bonsall Blaze." Proven turf runner has faced and beaten better in his recent past. The Horse to beat. (# 5) Bonsall Blaze - The pure speed of the party and although he has never run on the turf, his sire "In Excess" gets many good grass runners. Could be long gone with his speed. (# 6) Buzz the Tower - Stakes winner hasn't run since Jan. 13, and gives away some racing recency to the other contenders. Capable, but he'll need to be ready to run. (# 9) Gold Bankers Gold - Very tough if he gets in. Needs some scratches to compete. If he's allowed to run, he's an instant contender. (# 4) Golivewithuky - Would only include him if the fourth pick doesn't get to run. If that's the case, this runner should be used on the bottom of supers and tris. TURF PARADISE Race #EIGHT (5:25 PM Eastern) (# 3) RED'S ROSE BLANKET - Looks like the horse to beat. Competitive against better, she makes her first start for Molly Pearson after joining her barn. Drops for this attempt, and she's the filly to beat. (# 9) Barfly Zipper - Moves outside which should help field's most experienced runner. Has some competitive efforts to her credit and fits well here. (# 2) Mention My Name - Late rally in last, her first in a claimer after facing winners in all three of her previous runs. Daughter of "Lord Carson" is on the improve. (# 7) Miss Arizona - Makes her second start for a good trainer (Bill Brashears) and drops dramatically in class. Sharp work since the initial race and should try for the top. Horse Racing Picks Resources:
