Horse Racing Betting Systems - September 30, 2010The races today at Belmont have already been taken off the turf due to heavy rains that fell Tuesday with the forecast calling for another all day rain event today. This Saturday, Belmont will have five Grade 1 stakes including the Jockey Club Gold Cup and our East Coast racing newsletter that day will feature all five of those important events. Today we have another four-spot from Belmont. Today's Best Bet is #13 Arena Elvira in Race #2. East Coast Results: Belmont Race #9 Best Bet #11 Fastus Cactus $5.30. Diamond Sports - up to 200% or $600 deposit bonus  Today's Horse Racing Picks: Top pick: #11 (SARATOGA SINNER) - Has the best dirt form and will come into this off a win here 18 days ago. Claimed that day by the Shivmanagal barn gelding only needs to repeat that effort to win this. 2nd pick: #9 (Peahi) - Has four solid races on the dirt earlier this year and lightly-raced colt fits at the level and distance and I almost put him on top. Serious win candidate. 3rd pick: #8 (Slambino) - He has a pair of wins in his past on the dirt and they both came on "off" tracks. Veteran must be left in the mix. 4th pick: #2 (Boisterous) - Tries winners for the first time and will go turf to dirt for this. He's raced on the dirt before and is working well on the local surface. Maybe for a small share. BELMONT PARK Race #2 at 1:30 PM Eastern Top pick: #13 (ARENA ELVIRA) - She's finished second in all three of her starts including a very tough loss at Saratoga August 25. Has a flexible style, the best form, and the distance is fine. The horse to beat. 2nd pick: #9 (Sortilege) - She's run well in both starts and filly will be making back-to-back starts for the first time. Lightly raced and improving, she looks like the main danger. 3rd pick: #1 (In This Life) - Working well for her first start since Feb. 17 and well-bred filly has dirt experience. Can factor if ready. 4th pick: #11 (Drifting Away) - Daughter of "Smart Strike" finished third when debuting on the Saratoga turf on Sep. 5 and will move to the dirt and get the addition of lasix. Exotics factor. BELMONT PARK Race #3 at 2:00 PM Eastern Top pick: #3 (PRAETERO) - Colt had a tough post in a rough trip in his debut at Saratoga. Working fast since and he'll stretch out in distance for this attempt. In the Pletcher barn and stable rider John Velazquez climbed aboard. Can win this at a good price. 2nd pick: #4 (Economic Summit) - Colt had a very difficult first race as he was bumped twice and was forced to race very wide. In a good barn and son of "Malibu Moon" was well bet in his first outing. I think he'll run well at a good price. 3rd pick: #1 (Charlies Swell) - He missed by a nose here Sept. 11 in a much-improved effort off his debut. Working well and he's the only entrant that has run on this surface. Contender BELMONT PARK Race #8 (THE BELLE CHERIE) at 4:40 PM Eastern Top pick: #9 (QUIET GIANT) - Lightly-raced filly continues swift improvment for the Pletcher barn. Trainer has been shopping for a spot for this filly for the past month and she's been stretched several times when entered on the turf. Could turn out to be any kind at this point in her career. Believe she's up to this task. 2nd pick: #11 (Beautician) - She won last out at Saratago in her best race since last fall. Had a lot of potential at one time and her last effort may have her headed in the right direction. 3rd pick: #8 (Hyperlink) - Delaware invader has good early speed and is working fast for this attempt. Nearing her best following several layoffs and looks set for a top effort. 4th pick: #4 (Fleeting Humor) - Lightly-raced filly is two-for-two, is well-bred, very fast, and will stretch out in distance for the first time. Tough call. 5th pick: #3 (Kid Kate) - All three of wins are on off tracks and filly continues to train sharply locally for this contest. In a good barn and her off track record is too good to ignore.
