Drops slightly and gets the services of Eibar Coa as the main-track opens today. The top selection. 2nd pick: #8 (Maggie's Prince) - He finished a solid second when debuting in a sprint thaen ran into a "buzz saw" last out going two-turns. Cuts back and he's the probable favorite and a win candidate. 3rd pick: #1 (Lubash) - He acted-up a bit before debuting in early Feb. and has been on the sidelines since. Working nicely and he gets the addition of blinkers. Can contend today. 4th pick: #5 (Diablo's Fire) - Debuting colt by "Dehere" was prepared at Gulfstream and has some nice drills. He cost $120,000 so there were expectations. Dont't ignore. GULFSTREAM PARK Race #1 at 1:15 PM Eastern Top pick: #9 (SECURITY ZERO) - He takes a huge drop this afternoon for the Ken McPeek barn. Many trainers will be shipping out soon as this meet winds down and this looks like a now or never situation with this colt. The top pick. 2nd pick: #8 (Theposse'safterme) - Also takes a drop and he had some traffic issue when last raced. Competitive against tougher earlier in the meet he's a win candidate today. 3rd pick: #2 (Rama) - Nicely-bred and in a good barn (Bill White) that's having a tough meet. Colt takes a big drop and is improving. Contender. 4th pick: #4 (Tepeyac) - Another who's improving but he catches a field with a lot of drop-down types. Late threat for the exotics. 5th pick: #1 (Hutter) - He improved a lot in his latest as he finished second at this price and distance. He had a nice outside post that day and must break from the rail today. Contender, but may be over-bet. GULFSTREAM PARK Race #5 at 3:10 PM Eastern Top pick: #8 (WELL EXCUUUZE ME) - Drops and moves from the grass to the dirt for his second off a trainer switch to Wayne Catalano. Draws outside of the other speed and he can win this with a tracking trip. 2nd pick: #4 (Ten Bells) - Logical contender is improving and is in a good barn (Dale Romans). He finished a rallying second last out at this level and distance and is a win threat today. 3rd pick: #2 (Exposed Image) - He cuts back in distance and goes turf to dirt in his second off a Steve DiMauro claim. Looks set for a big effort. 4th pick: #6 (Worthy Wager) - Speedy type from the barn of Allen Jerkens drops and stretches-out to a mile this afternoon. Takes them as far as he can. HAWTHORNE Race #4 at 4:00 PM Eastern Top pick: #1 (SEEKING THE HONOR) - In-shape, has the best early speed, and he draws the rail. All of those things point him out as the horse to beat. 2nd pick: #4 (Dixie Banner) - Improved run is noted last out in his second back off a two month layoff. Cuts back in yardage and he likes this trip (9-2-1-3). Win candidate. 3rd pick: #2 (Calzone) - He'll be cutting back in distance for his third back off a long layoff. Believe he'll run well at a nice price.
