darrell,
We were 1-0 yesterday with Buffalo. The madness continued as two more huge favorites lost: Dallas at -177 and Carolina at -207. Glad we weren't on those! Things change up a bit tonight as we now have several big road favorites for the first time. Two picks tonight.

Game: Detroit at Edmonton (10:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 stars on Detroit -160
Detroit lost last game as a big home favorite in a rare #1 seed home loss. It dropped them to 1-1 and they now need to get one here in Edmonton. They were outplayed last game plain and simple. They seemed unwilling to put for the effort to get good shots and instead settled for long slapshots. Edmonton on the other hand hustled and worked hard for the win - they deserved it. But, that should have been a wake up call for Detroit. No doubt they know they are in for a fight in this series and I think they come out strong tonight. The good news for the Red Wings is that they were actually a better team on the road than at home this season. They were 31-10, scoring 3.8 goals per game and allowing just 2.5. At one point they had won 12 straight on the road. Detroit was 25-7 as a road favorite this season while Edmonton was just 10-13 at home in the second half of the season. So on paper we have the better team that plays great on the road and they are motivated on top of it. Detroit here.
Game: Nashville at San Jose (10:35 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 stars on San Jose -201
While I liked Nashville getting even money at home, I really like San Jose at home. The fact that they shut out the Predators last game says a lot given that this team normally wins by simply outscoring their competition. Nashville is just 17-24 on the season away from home where they allowed 3.2 goals per game. San Jose powers in 3.5 per game at home so it could be a long night for Nashville as they will be back on their heels all night. Over the last three seasons, Nashville hasn't won here. The Predators are just 4-16 this season on the road vs. explosive offensive teams (3+ goals per game). Great matchup and situation for San Jose.

much to bet? I recommend 1% of your bankroll for every

= 5% of bankroll. It is strongly recommended that
you never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given
game! Remember, there are no such thing as locks.
