Philadelphia is 8-4-1 against NY over the past three seasons and I think they take it up to 9-4-1 tonight. Their defense has been poor all season long but tonight hey face a worse defense. And, Philly's offense is better (3.2 goals per game vs 2.8). Philly is looking to secure 2nd place and the #3 seed in the Eastern Conference. They need help from the Devils and Rangers to get it but one thing is for sure - without a win, they won't get it. Home underdogs at 40%-49% on the season, off a road loss are just 8-36 (18%) over the last 5 seasons in the second half of the season when facing a winning team. Philadelphia here.

It's been eight years since the Leafs missed the playoffs but a dissapointing season has kept them from getting there this year. As bad as it's been for Toronto, it's been worse for Pittsburgh. The Penguins ended with the worst record in the Eastern Conference. Toronto has the much better team and I believe the motivation to win this one. They don't want to end on a sour note, especially coming off a 6-0 loss to Buffalo last game. Pittsburgh is just THAT bad (giving up 3.9 goals per game on the road) and Toronto wants to end on a good note. Maple Leafs are the pick.
