Game: Phoenix at Colorado (9:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 stars on Colorado -270

One of our few losses over the past few weeks was backing Colorado a couple of nights ago. But, back on them here tonight. Tried to buck the win-loss-win-loss trend on Sunday and it didn't work. Tonight the trend is on our side as they are off a loss. The Avs have now won five straight following a loss. They get the Coyotes at home tonight - a team they have dominated. Colorado is 24-11-4 against Phoenix since 1996 including 6-1 over the past three seasons. In games here in Colorado, the Avalanche are 14-4-2 including 3-0 the past three seasons. Phoenix has no offense right now, having scored just 11 goals over their last five games on way to a 1-4 record. Big road underdogs of +200 to +300 that have been outscored by their opponents by 0.3+ goals/game during the 2nd half of the season, after 2 straight close losses by 1 goal are 1-25 since 1996! Colorado here.
