Game: New York Rangers at Boston (2:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 stars on New York Rangers -133

After a mini 3-game skid, New York has reeled off four wins in their last five games. Boston is the mirror image having lost four of their last five. Boston is coming off a division game and they are just 9-21 in that situation this season. This skid for them is not a good sign as NHL underdogs that have lost 6 or 7 of their last 8 games are just 11-32 (25%) in April games over the last 5 seasons. New York has taken down all 3 prior games in this series this year including a 5-2 victory in late March. They make it 4-0 today.

Game: Chicago at Nashville (8:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 stars on Nashville -274

What's wrong with the Predators? They have lost six of their last eight games. They are off a 3-0 road win at St. Louis and look to put together back-to-back wins for the first time since March 20/21. I think they get it here against lowly Chicago - losers of 3 of 4 and 8 of 11 games. Adam Munro is in goal for the Blackhawks tonight and he's allowing 11% of SOG. Nashville is 12-1 this season against weak goalies like him. They are also 22-4 at home against weak defensive teams allowing 2.85+ goals per game (Chicago allows 3.5 overall and 3.9 on the road). Nashville should score early and often here.

Game: Pittsburgh at Tampa Bay (8:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 stars on Tampa Bay -365

Yeah, big line here but this is Pittsburgh. They are off a big underdog win against Florida and there aint no way they pull off an even bigger upset here. They are playing their third straight road game here and the Penguins are just 2-14 in their 3rd road game this season. Pitt allows 3.9 goals per game on the road on the season while Tampa Bay scores 3.2 per game at home.

Pass It On
How much to bet? I recommend 1% of your bankroll for every star. A one-star pick = 1% of bankroll. A five-star pick = 5% of bankroll. It is strongly recommended that you never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given game! Remember, there are no such thing as locks. Never bet over your head and you'll live to see another day. Approach your bets as an investment that grows steadily over the long-term. For more, see my write-up on Bankroll Management.
