Pick: 2 stars on Pittsburgh +195

New York is in trouble right now. They were spanked 1-5 by the Rangers last game and shutout at Montreal the game before that. They've lost six of their last eight but find themselves as heavy favorites here. We'll take the dog who can't help but have a good shot against a team that is reeling like the Islanders. Sure, Pittsburgh hasn't been playing great hockey lately but they are still playing better than New York. And, Pitt beat NY last time they met. Home teams with a terrible defensive (allowing 3+ goals/game on the season) off two straight games scoring 1 or fewer goals are just 24-55 (30%) since 1996. You see, terrible defense combined with an anemic offense is a recipe for disaster. Take the big underdog here.
