Game: Buffalo at BOSTON (7:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 stars on Buffalo -115
Buffalo has lost four straight after winning 8 in a row. They faced some tough competition in those games inclduing Ottawa twice, Atlanta and Carolina. Tonight they get Boston who has lost three in a row and 9 of 11. Buffalo is an excellent 21-12 on the road this season while Boston is just 14-21 at home. Nearly mirror images. Underdogs off a loss facing an opponent off 3+ are just 41-104 (28%) over the last 5 seasons. Buffalo here.
Game: Columbus at DETROIT (7:35 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 stars on Detroit -440
Yes, another huge line. Use it in a parlay if you don't want to lay this kind of wood. But, I'm on Detroit here. It doesn't get much more lopsided than this. Detroit is 48-21 on the season including 24-12 at home while the Blue Jackets are 9-26 on the road. They are 1-14 this season vs. teams with a 60%+ winning percentage. Detroit is off a 4-0 thrashing of San Jose while Columbus won 3-2 at home against Calgary. Home favorites off a home shutout win facing an opponent off a close home win by 1 goal are 24-3 (89%) since 1996. Detroit is 20-3 against Columbus over the past decade including 9-1 in games played in Detroit. Their average margin of victory in in the last four matchups of these clubs has been 6.3 to 1.8. Detroit is the play.
Game: San Jose at MINNESOTA (8:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 stars on Minnesota +110
We get a home dog here wiht a 20-16 winning home record against a team with a 12-21 losing road record. At home Minnesota plays very well, converting 11.7% of SOG and 20.4% of power plays. The Sharks are coming off a 0-4 loss to Detroit and they are just 3-10 this season off a 2+ goals loss and 2-12 off a game in which they scored under 2 goals. San Jose is also a bit tired. Take the home dog here.

| How
much to bet? I recommend 1% of your bankroll for every
star. A one-star pick = 1% of bankroll. A five-star pick
= 5% of bankroll. It is strongly recommended that
you never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given
game! Remember, there are no such thing as locks.
Never bet over your head and you'll live to see another
day. Approach your bets as an investment that grows steadily
over the long-term. For more, see
