**Carolina -158 over BOSTON (12:05 Eastern)

Carolina is 5-1-1- vs. Boston over the past three seasons and 15-5-2 over the past ten years. They have a better road record (18-15) than does Boston at home (13-20). Boston has been beaten by 1.8 goals per game over their last five games and posted a 1-4 record. The Bruins are tired as they are playing their 3rd game in 5 days. Carolina's offense is rolling and they are 26-5 this season after scoring 3+ goals in 3+ games this season. Two stars on the Hurricanes.

**Buffalo +178 over OTTAWA (7:05 Eastern)

Two teams that really need this game clash. Buffalo has won eight straight and I like them getting nearly 2-to-1 here. The Sabres are 33-13 against very good offensive teams like Ottawa this year. They can keep up with the Senator's scoring tonight. Over their last five games, Buffalo is scoring a ridiculous 5.8 goals per game. That's nearly six per game and we get +178 here! Ottawa's scoring has actually dropped off a bit of late, giving us even more of an edge. Two stars on Buffalo.

**Detroit -130 over EDMONTON (10:05 Eastern)

Minus 130 on Detroit? Doesn't happen often and I'll take it here. They've won six of their last seven games and face an Edmonton team that has lost four of their last six. Edmonton is spent and home underdogs of +100 to +200 that are playing 8 or more games in 14 days are just 8-37 (18%) since 1996 in March games. Also, home dogs that average 29+ shots/game facing a team with an average goalie (SV Pct 89.5-91.5%) are only 19-62 (23%) since 1996. Detroit is averagin 4.6 goals per game over their last five compared to 2.6 for Edmonton. Two stars on the Red Wings.

Pass It On
How much to bet? I recommend 1% of your bankroll for every star. A one-star pick = 1% of bankroll. A five-star pick = 5% of bankroll. It is strongly recommended that you never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given game! Remember, there are no such thing as locks. Never bet over your head and you'll live to see another day. Approach your bets as an investment that grows steadily over the long-term. For more, see my write-up on Bankroll Management.
