***CAROLINA -224 over NY Islanders (7:05 Eastern)

Big time mismatch here. Carolina (31-10-4 - league best) off eight straight wins gets the Islanders (20-23-2). NY struggles to kill the power play and Carolina dominates teams like that. The Hurricanes are 19-3 this season vs. teams allow 29+ SOG and 17%+ PP conversion. Over their last five games, NY has allowed 24% PP conversion and 3.2 goals per game while scoring just 1.4 per game. Carolina is scoring 3.8 per game and allowing 2.2 over that same span. Three stars on the Hurricanes.

**PHOENIX -134 over Florida (9:05 Eastern)

Phoenix realy wants this one to avoid falling below .500. They get a Florida team that is just 4-20 as a road underdog this season. Florida  is off a 4-5 loss to Columbus while Phoenix lost big to Washington 6-1. Home teams off a home loss facing an opponent off a home game where both teams scored 3 or more goals are 61-29 (68%) over the last 5 seasons. Phoenix has been playing bad lately but this is a team they can get healthy against and I like Phoenix to win this. Coyotes for two stars.
