This
is an important game for the Philadelphia Eagles.
If they win in convincing fashion, it will go a long
way towards them putting the TO problems behind them
and having a good season. If they put forth a lackluster
showing, the pot is going to get stirred even more
than it already has been. Even beyond the Terrell
Owens saga, this team has issues. They lost Corey
Simon, Derrick
Burgess and Hugh Douglas on defense - a defense that
couldn't stop the run with them. On offense, Brian
Westbrook, who McNabb called the
most important player on the team, has cut off negotiations
with the Eagles. This also a big game for Atlanta
who badly wants to beat Philadelphia after losing
to them last year in the playoffs. This place will
be rocking on Monday night. Atlanta comes in with
the best running game in the league from last year.
The combination of Warrick
Dunn, TJ Duckett and Mike Vick should pile up the
yards against a Philly defense that allowed 130 yards
per
game
on the ground last season and did little to fix that.
If Vick can put together a solid passing game, the
Falcons should
win
this
one. This
should be a very close game but the edge goes to
the more motivated team playing under the Monday
Night lights. Oh yeah, the Falcons were 8-1 at home
last season. We'll back the Monday Night home dog for
one star.

How
much to bet? I recommend 1% of your bankroll for every
star. A one-star pick = 1% of bankroll. A five-star pick
= 5% of bankroll. It is strongly recommended that
you never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given
game! Remember, there are no such thing as locks.
Never bet over your head and you'll live to see another
day. Approach your bets as an investment that grows steadily
over the long-term. For more, see
my write-up on Bankroll
Management.
