Game: Minnesota at Indiana (8:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 stars on OVER 175

I like the over here for several reasons. Even though without Garnett, the Wolves still put up 80+ points on a defensive minded Houston team. They should have more opportunities to score in Indiana and the last time the game was played the total was 175. Given the massive revenge factor for Indiana, this game should go over. Indiana had a similar game against the Knicks in which they won in blowout fashion 101-82. The Pacers look for similar revenge and seeing that the over is 5-1 in their last 6 meetings and the over is 4-1 in Indiana, let's ride the better play of the Timberwolves as they learn to play without their stars and Indiana to keep lighting up the scoreboard to avenge their road loss to Minnesota.

Many would be highly suprised by this pick, which is seen by nearly 80% of the public on Phoenix tonight. Yet, what many do not realize is that the Suns have clinched essentially and will look to possibly rest Steve Nash as he is clearly the catalyst on this team. But, more importantly, even if Nash does play, Golden State has shown that they have adjusted with the absence of Baron Davis and handily defeated the Mavs at home. For a team that has not had many bright spots this season, that win along with their young talent of Foyle and Ike stepping up, I look for the home dog in the Warriors to make a strong push tonight to make amends for their lack of performance this year. The Suns are 0-5 ATS against a team with a SU losing record, and the Warriors are 4-0-1 as a home underdog. Let's take the motivated Warriors tonight in what should be a playoff type of atmosphere for a team that won't get any closer to such an atmosphere than this game here.

It is very rare for me to lay two touchdowns on the hardwood. But, this is one such case in which the Lakers look to get revenge on Portland for their recent loss on the road to them. The last three games between these two teams this year had Portland winning on March 1st by 6, LA winning on February 21st by 17 and Portland winning on January 11th by 10. Notice a trend? The fact is that Portland won the first game of their meetings at home, only to come to LA to lose by 17. Then, Portland won again at home recently, thus, it seems that the Lakers will look for revenge in front of their home crowd where they play dominant. Also, keep in mind that the Lakers are just 2.5 games ahead of Utah for the 7th seed and the Kings are just 1 game back in the 8th seed so this game has a lot of significance for the team as they look to return to the playoffs which will clearly make a statement that this team is headed back in the right direction. Throw in that Portland is on a 6-21 ATS run, 0-7 ATS following a ATS win and the Lakers are 6-0 ATS of late as a favorite.
