darrell,
I've gotten a few emails lately from people commenting on the recent poor run. We went 0-3 on Friday and 0-1 yesterday. Sorry about those four losers.
But, please keep things in perspective. Prior to those two days, we 15-8 the ten days prior to that.
It is extremely important to remember that streaks happen and to bet accordingly. If you are depleting your bankroll off a couple of bad days, you are betting over your head. You need to bet small enough amounts that a few bad days don't eat up your bankroll. Expect losing streaks to happen just as you should expect winning streaks. Bet1-5% of your bankroll on any given game and take the losing days in stride - waiting for the winning ones. Please take a moment to review the following two articles so that you have proper expectations. Thanks. Game: Indiana at Detroit (1:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 stars on UNDER 179
The Pistons might be without 3 out of their starting 5 today as Rasheed Wallace is probable due to a back injury, Ben Wallace might be out due to undisclosed reasons, and Richard Hamilton - the leading scorer for the Pistons might be out due to personal reasons as well. Thus, we have 3 key players that might be out for the Pistons and even if they did have all these players in, the last 6 games head to head for these teams have gone under. In fact, the under is 21-5 in their last 26 meetings and given these injuries, the under seems more probably as Billups might have to take a heavier roll as Hamilton could be out. The Pacers have been struggling on the road as they have lost several in a row including to the Knicks and the Hawks - 2 of the bottom rung teams in the league. Given the history of unders in this series and the fact that the Pacers under is 4-1 in their last 5 road games during their struggle, the under seems solid here. With the Pistons possibly missing some of their key starters, they'll focus on defense off their embarrasing loss last game to Orlando. Let's roll with history and the under.
Game: Houston at Sacremento (9:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 stars on Sacremento -9
Normally, I don't like laying so many points. Yet, this is a good opportuntity to lay it on a home team that is playing extremely well and who has a lot to play for in this game. The Kings want to hold and keep the 8th and last playoff spot from the likes of the Jazz and Hornets who are on their heels. The Kings have won 13 in a row at home and recently defeated the Clippers by 10 here. They then went on the road to defeat the Spurs by 10 - which very few teams have done during the era of Duncan and Parker - to win by double digits on the road at San Antonio. They won by 8 on the road at Houston and now play them at home, where their strength lies. The Rockets are 2-5 ATS on the road as underdog of 5-10 points, the Kings are 13-3 in their last 16 home games, and 4-1-1 in their last 6 overall as they play to go to the playoffs with their new found tandem of Artest and Bibby. Let's ride the Kings against the hapless Rockets still without McGrady - a team that lost to lowly Portland recently on the road.
Game: Los Angeles Clippers at Los Angeles Lakers (9:35 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 stars on Los Angeles Clippers +2.5
The best team in LA takes on the Lakers tonight. The Lakers have dropped two straight and are at risk of missing the playoffs. Their cross-town rivals have been the perennial ugly stepchild and would love nothing more than to contribute to the demise of the Lakers. The one-man show called the Lakers can only survive so long without help from teammates and they aren't providing it. Kobe has scored 40+ points in each of the last four games but LA has lost two of them. Tonight the Clippers come in with a chip on their shoulder. They have abetter record yet find themselves as 2.5 point underdogs. The Clips are scoring 105 per game over their last five while the Lakers have scored 99.8. Take the motivated dog here with the points.

| How
much to bet? I recommend 1% of your bankroll for every
star. A one-star pick = 1% of bankroll. A five-star pick
= 5% of bankroll. It is strongly recommended that
you never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given
game! Remember, there are no such thing as locks.
Never bet over your head and you'll live to see another
day. Approach your bets as an investment that grows steadily
over the long-term. For more, see
