St. Louis has lost their touch and their swagger, dropping three straight to the Astros after sweeping the Padres and taking game one in this series. A pair of awesome pitchers take the mound as St. Louis looks to their ace Chris Carpenter and Houston to Andy Pettitte. Pettite is 10-4 at homet his season with a 2.12 ERA. While he didn't notch as many wins, he pitched as well or better than Carpenter this season. He had a lower overall ERA and WHIP. And, he's at home with taste of the World Series in his mouth. Houston is 15-3 at home after allowing 3 runs or less 3 straight games this season and 11-2 when playing against a good team (Win Pct. 54% to 62%) in the second half of the season this season.
