*TORONTO
-145 over Seattle (7:05 Eastern)
Seattle
got one on the road last night and it won't
happen again tonight. The Blue Jays blew
a 4-3 ninth inning lead to enable the rare
Seattle road win. Tonight Seattle goes with
rookie Jeff Harris who's posted a 6.60 ERA
in his last three starts. Countering for
Toronto is Josh Towers who has put up a much
better 2.45 ERA over his last three. Toronto
also has the bullpen advantage and the offensive
advantage (4.8 per game at home vs. 4.4 for
Seattle on the road). The Mariners are just
7-25 as a road dog of +125 to +175 this season
and 10-34 on the road vs. pitchers with an
ERA of 4.00 or better over the past two seasons.
Favorites of -150 or
more off 10 straight games
where they failed to hit more than one home
run, starting a pitcher who walked <=1
hitters each of his last 2 outings are 41-9
(82%) since 1997. Lightning can strike for
bad road teams as it did for Seattle last
night. But, not twice in a row. One star
on the Blue Jays.
**OAKLAND
-170 over Minnesota (10:05 Eastern)
Oakland
has a golden opportunity to make up ground
during this homestand and they know it. Two
rookies take the mound here. Joe Blanton did
an amazing job against the Twins earlier this
season when he won a 2-1 game, going 7 innings
and yielding just 2 hits and 1 run. Overall
he's got a 3.57 ERA (3.37 at home). Francisco
Liriano haas pitched well in his three games
but he's only seen 7 innings of total action.
Given that Oakland blasts left handers to the
tune of 5.6 runs per game (and they are 27-16
vs. lefties this season), Liriano could be
in for a long night and quick
exit
tonight.
Minnesota doesn't have any offense right now
as they have scored on 3.4 per game over their
last seven. Two stars on the A's.

How
much to bet? I recommend 1% of your bankroll for every
star. A one-star pick = 1% of bankroll. A five-star pick
= 5% of bankroll. It is strongly recommended that
you never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given
game! Remember, there are no such thing as locks.
Never bet over your head and you'll live to see another
day. Approach your bets as an investment that grows steadily
over the long-term. For more, see
my write-up on Bankroll
Management.
