**CLEVELAND
-129 over Minnesota (7:05 Eastern)
Cleveland
nailed it as an underdog last night and as we
said, they're hot. Scott Baker has certainly
been hotter than Elarton this season. But, right
now the Indians are on a mission. And, Elarton
is 2-1 against Minnesota with a 2.91 ERA and
1.122 WHIP. Underdogs with a poor offense
(<4.5
runs/game) and a starting pitcher who
gives up 5.5 or less hits/start facing a team
with a very good bullpen (ERA <3.33) are just
17-60 (22%) over the past five seasons. Two stars
on the Indians.
*CINCINNATI
-133 over Pittsburgh (7:10 Eastern)
Cincy
is on a bit of a tailspin but they are happy
to see Kip Wells tonight. The Reds are 12-3
vs. Wells since 1997. Wells has put up a
6.56 ERA over his last three and against
Cincinatti's potent offense, he could be
in real trouble tonight. Over the past two
seasons, Wells is 0-8 vs. teams
with a losing record in the second half of
the season. Meanwhile, Ortiz is 10-3 when
playing against a team with a losing record
this
season. Also, home favorites that score >5.0
runs/game that are on a good fielding streak
(10 straight games with one or less errors)
against an average starting pitcher are 94-35
(73%) since 1997. One star on the Reds.

How
much to bet? I recommend 1% of your bankroll for every
star. A one-star pick = 1% of bankroll. A five-star pick
= 5% of bankroll. It is strongly recommended that
you never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given
game! Remember, there are no such thing as locks.
Never bet over your head and you'll live to see another
day. Approach your bets as an investment that grows steadily
over the long-term. For more, see
my write-up on Bankroll
Management.
