*Cincinnati/CHICAGO
CUBS OVER 9 Runs (2:20 EST)
The
Cincinnati Reds look for the sweep Wednesday after
taking game one 9-4 and then whacking Cubbies 8-3
in the second on Tuesday. The OVER cashed in both
contests we'll stay with the program as the Reds
send Mr. Long-Ball Milton 5-12 6.75 to the mound
while the Cubs counter with rookie Rich Hill 0-1
7.00 TM 1-2. Milton yielded two more Jacks last
Friday in a 5-1 loss to the Marlins moving his
mark to 33 dingers on the season. Milton has given
up 15 of his 33 long-balls on the road, so the
Cubbies are certain to put up their share of runs.
Cincy is leading the NL in home runs (154), RBI
(544) and they are second in runs (569) so they
should have a field day against Hill who makes
his fourth start of the season and comes in lasting
but 1 1/3 innings, allowing 7 runs against Mets
in his last. The Cubs are 8-2 OVER their last ten
hosting Cincinnati and the Reds are 17-7 OVER in
their last 24 games, 6-2 OVER in their last eight
away and 7-2 OVER in Milton's last nine on the
road. Milton is 3-0 OVER pitching in Chicago with
Reds, Phillies and Twins. One star on the OVER
here.
*ATLANTA
-245 over San Francisco (7:05 EST)
When
you've got a rookie batting .432, you've got
some good karma. Jeff Francouer is doing just
that for the Braves who powered to a 7-1 victory
last night over San Francisco. No big surprise
as the Giants are just 10-24 at Turner field.
Guess the long trip doesn't do them well. The
Braves pasted the Giants last night and look
to
keep it going tonight. John Smoltz get s the
call and brings into this game a 2.70 home ERA.
Kevin Corriea has been so-so for the G-Men this
year at best. The big difference
here though is offense. The Braves are one of
the top offensive teams in the NL while the Giants
are one of the
worst. Atlanta is batting .290 and scoring 5.2
runs per game at home this season. Over thier
past seven games, the Braves have put up 6.4
per contest. Meanwhile SF has scored just 3.1
in their last seven. Atlanta is also 21-2 (+18.4
Units) against the money
line at home when the total is 8.5 to 10 this season.
Braves are the pick here for one star.

How
much to bet? I recommend 1% of your bankroll for every
star. A one-star pick = 1% of bankroll. A five-star pick
= 5% of bankroll. It is strongly recommended that
you never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given
game! Remember, there are no such thing as locks.
Never bet over your head and you'll live to see another
day. Approach your bets as an investment that grows steadily
over the long-term. For more, see
my write-up on Bankroll
Management.
