2nd pick: #9 (Mo Cash) (5-2) - Lightly-raced 4-year-old rallied from close range to finish a distant second here Jan. 20 to major stakes winner 'X Y Jet'. He's yet to finish worse than fourth in nine career starts and stalker won a $125K stakes for Florida breds at Tampa Bay Downs in his previous start (Dec. 16). Stretch threat.
3rd pick: #4 (Shaft of Light) (6-1) - Another of the Navarro trained quartet, he's shortening up in distance following an easy win here going a mile Jan. 11. Veteran has won 5-of-10 locally and should be involved heading for home. From there he has to do a bit better.
4th pick: #3 (Cautious Giant) (7-2) - Since being claimed by Vic Barboza Jr for $16,000 Sept. 24, this old timer has won three in a row all going 7 furlongs. He won a $110K claiming stakes here Dec. 2, then won right back Jan. 15. Stalker should get a quick pace to close into and must be left in the mix.
