Denver Broncos NFL Point Spread Picks 2010
Last season the Denver Broncos went through some drastic changes as they had a new head coach in Josh McDaniels, new starting quarterback under center in Kyle Orton and basically a new team moving forward in the post Mike Shanahan era in the Mile High city.
Even though the odds were seriously against them last season as they were favored to lose frequently in weekly NFL picks, the Denver Broncos did pretty well for a team at the beginning of a rebuilding period as their offense played well and the defense was perhaps the biggest surprise as one of the best defensive players in the league emerged in linebacker Elvis Dumervil.
Before last year, no one knew who he was or what he was capable of, but it didn’t take long for the linebacker to make a name for himself as he became the league’s leader in sacks and finished with a league best 17 sacks on the season.
As a way to reward his breakout performance last season, the Denver Broncos signed their Pro Bowl linebacker to a huge contract extension which made him one of the highest-paid defensive players in the league.
Unfortunately, the Broncos will be without their Pro Bowl linebacker for the majority of next season as he went down in the first day of training camp with a torn pectoral muscle that will keep him out for at least four months.
