College Basketball and the big board

One of the biggest problems with a sport like college basketball is that people often have trouble narrowing down the board. Rather than betting what they know and betting the teams they are comfortable with, people try to get too cute. They try to do too much and bet on western teams or eastern teams that they have never even seen before. If you are going to be a winner your NCAA basketball picks, then you have to avoid this trap like the plague. It can take a lot of discipline to only play a few conferences, but the rewards will be high. You will begin to learn those teams, their tendencies, and their weaknesses. You will be able to appropriately spot value while others are just trying to make a bet on those conferences. When betting on the big board, you have to make things as simple as possible for yourself and for your bankroll.
