The Chargers and Lions are a couple of interesting teams this year and this should prove the be a very interesting matchup. Detroit comes into this game as a favorite of just less than a field goal. For some making their NFL picks, this might seem like a nice time to bet them. For others, though, this seems like a good time to favor the road-warring Chargers.

The Lions came on with a big game through the air last week. Meanwhile, the Chargers have been rolling over people for more than a month as they have charged toward the top of the AFC West. You have to think that Philip Rivers and company will have success throwing the football. Can Detroit score enough points to keep up?

All signs point to yes on this. The Lions have great weapons on the outside and Matt Stafford is a capable trigger man. Football Picks – Baltimore Ravens vs San Diego Chargers

The Chargers might look like they are out of the playoff scene, but don’t tell them that. They are playing better football lately, taking out some of their anger on a host of opponents. The offense looks to have found itself, so that is a huge factor. Rivers is playing better under center and Ryan Matthews is doing what people expected of him. Even Antonio Gates got back on track last week with a couple of big touchdown catches. This week, though, they will face a much stiffer challenge if they want to continue this late push toward the playoffs. They will have to beat a Baltimore team that has been boom or bust all season long.

The Ravens come into this game favored by less than a field goal. Traveling across the country to play a motivated team, this seems about right. It is the kind of line that is bound to get a lot of the public on the Ravens, but the right play might be the Chargers in this one. They are strong in a number of areas and they have the guns to outscore a Baltimore team that can struggle on offense at times. Baltimore might get the running game going, though, and this could ultimately spell trouble for the San Diego defense. This game comes down to a question of which side is going to impose its style of play.

If you had to make a football picks on this game, you would be wise to go with the homestanding bunch here. San Diego is obviously quite good, but the club has had some struggles on the road. This is a long, tough trip. San Diego needs the game more and they are playing better football. Likewise, the low line almost begs you to bet Baltimore in this game. New England Patriots vs Denver Broncos NFL Point Spread Picks 

What can you say about Tim Tebow? The Broncos keep winning, though it probably has a lot more to do with the Denver defense, offensive line, and running game than it does with Tim Tebow himself. Despite what you think about the guy, though, it is clear that he’s got some moxie. This week, the big test comes rolling into town, though. The Broncos have been beating up on mostly bad competition, but that will change in a big way when the Patriots come calling. Though they are not the dominant power that we are used to, the Patriots are easily one of the best teams in the AFC this season.

So can Denver cover the number as a six point underdog at home this week? When you make NFL picks, you know that betting the dog can be a good thing. But this might be a situation where the wheels are about to fall off for Denver. There are lots of teams in this league who you can hold down once you get them down. New England is not one of those teams. The Patriots have the guns to really put a hurting on Denver in the 2nd half. This might be one of those games where Denver falls too far behind for the magic to make any difference.

You do have to consider the home factor for the boys from Mile High. Denver has a chance because of its defense, but I would not have my money on the Broncos here. Keep this in mind as you determine who to make your all-important  football picks on this weekend. Don’t get caught up in the hype machine that is going to inevitably revolve around Tim Tebow this weekend. New England is the better club and they will go a long way in showing that strength this weekend. Understand this and you will be on your way to success.
