OUTLOOK:
Hudson, Smoltz and Glavine could eat up 600+ innings. However, the key may be Mike Hampton returning from injury. If he steps up, so will the Braves. The Braves have a long lineup and it is balanced with veterans, and young, rising players. Will be in the hunt.

Cabrera and Swisher will help, but when you look at this line-up compared to those of Detroit, and Cleveland, they are still not there. The rotation has too many question marks, and don’t see this team contending.

Bodog getting hounded!
Scott Lewis And 1st Technology, LLC Barking Up Bodog’s Tree
Patent Troll Continues to Harass Wrong Company in Attempt to Coerce Settlement
For Immediate Release:
February 22, 2008
St. John’s, Antigua – Recent reports indicate that Scott Lewis and 1st Technology, LLC (“1st Tech”) have increased their use of scare tactics in their case against a domain management company which, at one time, provided their services to Bodog, by targeting advertisers that work in conjunction with Bodog with subpoenas. Unfortunately for Scott Lewis and 1st Tech, as previously established on several occasions, Bodog and its former domain management service provider (now known as “Data Entry and Domain Management, S.A.”) are entirely separate companies, one simply having provided services to the other. At no time did Data Entry and Domain Management, S.A. have a corporate relationship with Bodog. As such, no amount of subpoenas sought from companies that work in conjunction with Bodog will be of any use in 1st Tech’s frivolous patent dispute.

Bubble bursting or cream rising?
We are just over one month out from the Big Dance and as the clear frontrunners begin to shape up around the NCAA, there are a few teams that are on the bubble that could not only find themselves dancing come March, but making a run deep into the tourney as well.
The teams leading the pack that are at or near the top of everyone’s March Madness picks are the No. 1-ranked Memphis Tigers (who you have all heard me honk on several times this season) as well as Kansas, Duke and UNC. Memphis is the only undefeated team left in Division IA and as the flagship of the stacked Conference USA, the Tigers may wire the field en route to the tourney.
The major drawback to Memphis is that they do come from the CUSA and many doubt whether the Tigers will be battle tested enough to make it deep into the tournament.

Can Duke stomp the Heels tonight?
As we are now done digesting the feast from our Super Bowl picks, or done choking down the bitter pill of the Patriots loss (depending on which side of the NFL picks you were on) it is time to rededicate ourselves and our betting minds to college basketball.
Tonight is a great way to make the transition from the NFL to the CBB betting season as one of the greatest rivalries in sports heats up again tonight as the Blue Devil’s of Duke travel to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels – and as always, it promises to be a real barn burner!
