After carefully considering the benefits and drawbacks of running his superb mare Pride, winner of Saturday’s Champion Stakes at Newmarket, in the Breeders’ Cup at Churchill Downs, trainer Alain de Royer-Dupre decided on Tuesday evening against the idea.

Hanson would have had to put up a supplementary fee to get the un-nominated Pride into the Breeders’ Cup - $180,000 for the Filly and Mare Turf, $270,000 for the Turf.

Tigers Roar into the World Series
The Tigers continued their remarkable journey by sweeping Oakland in the AL championship series, and now they’ll play in the World Series for the first time in 22 years. The losingest team in baseball over the past 13 seasons, the club that suffered through 119 defeats only three years ago, will make its first Series appearance since 1984.

The time off following their win over Oakland is a big plus to the Tigers. Manager Jim Leyland says the week off can help his team, especially injured players like Sean Casey and Joel Zumaya.

Game 1 of the World Series begins Saturday evening and BetRoyal has all the bases covered for your MLB action. Be sure to check out our many props for this fall classic.
